NEW: U-Turn Pullover, Wee Space Prints and More

The new rulu Make A Move Pant.

New pullover - the Run: U Turn.  I like the lack of ruffles and pleats - very sporty looking.

Shown with the Clear As Mud Pant

I like that they photographed the new Make It Rain jacket on an actual rainy day in the top photo. The Creamsicle Pop makes a nice contrast to the dreariness of the day, not to mention it provides great visibility. The top photo also shows the jacket paired with the Clear As Mud Pant.

Another Make It Rain and Clear As Mud combo.

The funky Alberta Lake and Black striped Top Speed Crops, shown with a LS Swiftly and the First Base tank.

Showing the unlined hood here.

Tender Violet Scuba Stretch and Groove Pants.

More photos of the new Defines.

From Australia - New Run For Your Life Crops in Wee Space Limitless Blue. There is another style with a Wee Space Love Red Coal waistband.

Also from Australia - the Tender Violet 105F crops, shown with a 105F Singlet and Tender Violet All Sport Bra.

I really don't like the scuba stretch. If I want a fluffy unstructured sleep-wear like hoodie, I'm going to Victoria's Secret Pink and saving myself $50. Plus, I've never had any Pink stain. I'm annoyed:(

Limitless blue is gorgeous and I love WAFS prints! Excited for new colors.

AUS side has a Spin It to Win It tank in black swan/raspberry glo light that is such a good color combo I might overlook the weird detailing along the bust - especially if they came out with BS spinerette shorts with Rasp Glo trim...any chance we could be seeing these? Jealous AUS also got back the Yoga Camp crops - I've been kicking myself for not buying those last spring - I have the Fog and adore them!

Really diggin' the limitless space dye!! The Al striped crops are very funky, indeed. Dr. Seuss, anyone? :)

just want to point out that the last several uploads are probably the most unflattering things i've ever seen coming from lululemon. there are more and more items that, functional as they may be (hey, a garbage bag will keep you dry too), these are NOT why i spend hundreds (probably more) of dollars on fancy workout wear. sometimes you watch a tv show that has an amazing first season, and then it looks like they ran out of ideas (or at least any good, original ones) and the rest of the episodes just insult your intelligence. i want quality, something that flatters and accentuates the body, makes me feel 25 (i'm 42) and stops traffic (ok, i'll settle for a couple of admiring looks at the gym)

AUS got the Yoga Camp crops? I really hope they make it to the US website soon. I bought two pairs of them last release and they are great! I really wish I would have tried the Yoga Camp pants, too. Missed out on those.

I really like the look of Raspberry Glow. I almost bought the swiftly, but not a fan of the two tone. I really hope they bring out a star runner pullover in that color, since I am not loving the look of the new pullover so much.

Yay, Limitless. Finally, a blue that is actually different than Wish, Royale, Indigo, Bold Blue...

I like the Run: U Turn pullover too! Any chance when it will be in the US? :-) I like raspberry glo but not in the Swiftly. I am keeping my fingers crossed for other running tops!

someone was asking about ivivva shorts the other day - I just received the black swan rythmic tight in a size 14 and they are amazing! I take a 4 in luon bottoms at lulu and a six in luxtreme, 5'6", 130 lbs, boyish body. These fit the same as the 4. The waistband is a bit smaller but they seem to have approximately the same rise, maybe a bit lower. I am fairly short waisted though. The only issue I have is that the online description said these were luon but they are actually rulu. I would have preferred the luon for compression but these are nice and snugly!

loving that purple define jacket that looks like dip dyed!

Tried on the AL striped running crops today. Cute, but the black in the back is super sheer.

I hit my local store this morning to try on all the new pants. I was SOOOOO excited about the Run Clear As Mud pant until I tried them on. I loved the fit (warm, great fit in the butt and thighs) but I'm short (5"5") and by hemming the pant I would lose about 5 inches of the water resistant panel so it seemed pointless to have it start so low down my calf. Instead I purchased the Run Runder Under Pant to layer under my other running pants for warmth and then bought the Make It Rain Gaiters as well - ladies, these are fantastic!! If you have a lot of wet weather and are considering them at all I'd say go for it! I can adjust whatever running pant/crop depending on if it's warm or cold out so they are more versatile that way. I tried on the Make A Move pant and they were very comfortable but I realized how much I like a compression pant when I run. They'd be nice for lounging around but not at that price. I also tried on the Split Set pant and I was very disapointed with the quality of them overall. And the fit was not for me anyhow. I bought the Run Puddle Jumper jacket a few weeks ago (which I totally love!) so I had to try on the Make It Rain jacket to see if I should have waited...I'm glad I didn't! The Puddle Jumper is functional and it's super flattering. The Make It Rain jacket seems like it would be functional but it was very unflattering on me.

The AL striped crops are a little too trendy for my liking. Smeone mentioned Dr Seuss-like. I second that... And might I add: Beetle-juicish!

I am holding out for the WAFS blue combo, which are much brighter in colour than the AL version... And will go with alot more!

5'5" is not short - it's totally average (actually just a bit above average for ladies in the us...the national average is 5'4"), which is why it's RIDICULOUS to make pants in just one length with features you lose unless you're a giraffe! I can totally appreciate that tall girls will love these pants and am glad they come in a length that will work for them. But a 34" inseam is, on average, REALLY LONG. And when they entire point of the pants are the gaiters which come up to "right below the knee" (according to the website description) and they don't even come close to doing so on most people, then you have a product which clearly doesn't work. It's like someone isn't thinking through the obvious here.

My local.store in NJ got the U Turn pullover. Not sure why it wasnt on the upload!

@luluFemom and @anon 1:32pm
I doubt North America will see the Yoga Camp Crop anytime soon. It's spring in Australia.

I'm wondering how Love Red will compare to Currant... Seems like we're seeing slight variations of all the same colors lately.

@ Taryn - what was wrong with the Split Set pant? Was the luon really thin? I will be bummed if that is the case. I like the look of those pants a lot but if it has thin luon they're going back.

Taryn said...

Hi LLA - Yes, I was surprised how thin the luon was .... certainly thinner than I expected to see in person. When I read about them online I was sure I'd be picking up at pair when I got to the store ... I wasn't even tempted when I saw them in person. I tried them on just in cased but for me they were unimpressive on my body. Just my opinion, maybe they will work for you! :)

@ Taryn - thanks for the insight on how this new crop of pants fit. When I first saw the "preview" of the new pants, I was so excited for the Clear as Mud pant. I live 5 hrs from the nearest store, and run through snow and slush all winter long, so I got right online after the upload. When I saw that the inseam was 34" I hesitated and decided to wait for reviews; now I am glad I did.
@ Sophia - totally agree with you. Happy for the tall gals that will get to wear these pants. At 5'6", I don't consider myself short, but a 34" inseam is a total design fail for the average, even slightly above average, height.

TARYN - please post on how well the loop under the shoe on the Gaiters holds up after a couple of runs!!!

Taryn said...

Hi Unknown @ 7:56am,

I'll definintely let you know how the elastic holds up on the gaiters. I read on another thread that the elastic should be worn under your foot, inside the shoe. Maybe some other brands do but I tried it out myself today and these ones are definitely not designed that way. It's easy to tell because the bottom edges end up being akwardly pulled into the shoe, bunching up and not laying properly overtop of the shoe as it should.

The grey rain jacket is awesome!
