Macro Micro Alberta Lake/Rose Herringbone Power Y
Tonight we got a major preview of the upcoming palette: Alberta Lake teal, Creamsicle Pop orange, Black Swan (maybe?), Tender Violet, Polar Cream, and a couple of prints/patterns - macro/micro stripe, half macro/micro stripe, and Rose Herringbone. I like Alberta Lake but hoping it comes in a solid.  As for the rest, I am not a big fan except for Tender Violet.

New print in Rose Herringbone Polar Cream with half macro micro stripe accent. This is kind of interesting and looks very old school lululemon to me. It reminds me of the prints that were out when I started first started buying the brand five years ago.

New Free to Be and Flow Y bras showed up in new Creamsicle Pop Orange. I am hoping an Energy bra is coming in this color but other than that don't particularly love it right now. This color reminds me a lot of Tang Light and seems more a summer color than a fall one.

New Black Rose Herringbone/Black Macro Micro Astro Pant Waistband. It's interesting that lulu is bringing back the Black Macro Micro print from last Fall. I really liked the pattern but only ended up getting the Cool Racerback in it. I love when they do echoes like this so you can tie older lulu into the latest.

Black Macro Micro Cool Racerback from last fall
New Power Y in Polar Cream Half Macro Micro Stripe.

Though this photo was for the bag we can see a new shirt has been revealed.

Many people are excited to see Black Swan Studio Pants. They're nice but I don't care for the lined version of the studio pants.

New My Mantra pant made of Vitasea/Oragnic Cotton Jersey. I bet these are super comfy.

I ended up ordering the Bangbuster in Tender Violet. I was toying with the idea of the Bordeaux Drama Scuba jacket but I will hold out hope we'll see a Scuba in solid Alberta Lake teal.

What did you all get?

Just the Flow Y in Rose Herringbone Polar Cream with half macro micro (was going to hold off for this print to come out in Power Y, but...grabbed this first for "just in case", as I love this print/texture a lot!). :) And the My Mantra pant in heathered white/heathered fossil. Love the skirt look and it will "hide" ;) any sheer possibilities in the heathered white vitasea. Whished they had brought this out earlier in summer. I would have used it quite a bit already.

Absolutely LOVE the lined Studio Pants...finally get some in a winter colour, that's my winter wardrobe sorted then!
That striped top (with the bag) looks interesting, wish that had been up.

I might have been tempted by the Black Swan DSPs but the lined are too warm for SoCal. I also hate the "swishy" noises the lining adds. However, if there is going to be a BS Studio Crop I might bite.

Where are the blue studio pant?! Major bummer.... I skipped it all. Blah!!

Anonymous said...

I skipped it all too, especially considering the $20 price hike on the lined DSP.

Rose herringbone! <3 <3 <3 and tender violet! I like brights for when I am on my endorphin buzz, and a more muted palette for casual (black, coal, fossil, slub denim bottoms). Tick of approval from here :-)

Yaaay! The pigment blue tonka power y finally landed so got it and also the polar cream micro. Sticking to the staples...don't like surprises.

Where are the groovy run shorts??? Disappointed.
But I love the Alberta color! Hope we see it in a CRB and a zip pullover of some sort.

Check out the first pic for the Pretty Pink Tonka Stripe Run Speed Squad Tank: The model is outdoors posing as if she were tying up her shoes and you can see her butt through the thin fabric of the run crops, not sure which crops these are, but in black, the fabric is totally see thru when stretched. That is why I don't wear running crops to work out in the gym!

BTW I ordered not a thing today. I might order a jacket for my husband later this week though.

I am one of the few who doesn't love Bordeaux so was completely disinterested in the upload until I saw the Tender Violet headband. PLEASE, Lulu, bring on the Tender Violet! A CRB in violet might help me finally recover from the lingering bitterness I feel over the bruised berry CRB and its sketchy, limited release.

Anonymous said...

Do you think the CRB is going to go up in price again? Only 3 colors available. :/ makes me suspicious. Meh on the upload. Definitely all items I can live without. That Alberta color is pretty though.

Anonymous said...

Hi, I have been a lurker for a while now...interesting to see they have the micro macro--I too have the CRB.

Two questions:

1) I recently got a Magnum Space Dye flow y bra second hand. What color CRB would you pair with it?

2) In other comments, people have mentioned a Target pant that is similar to DSP...what section can I find it? What brand? Mossimo?

Thanks, I love your blog!

Thanks for all the great photos :) The Tender Violet could be the best new color, but the Alberta Lake teal color is interesting, too. Everyone seems to agree that we need to see more of the new colors made into solid or heathered tanks/tops that aren't too sheer or too striped or just plain weird. Speaking of weird, the too short Breath of Fire so-called "skirt" doesn't have enough fabric length to qualify as much more than a glorified loin cloth. If you try to size up, it's still way too short, but then the "skirt" part also becomes too baggy and the shorts still hang out no matter what. It's just another in a long line of LLL epic failures. Although I love Pretty Pink, some people do not, so to put Pretty Pink somewhere on almost all the Bordeaux items is another mistake by LLL. Bordeaux does coordinate with other colors, too, LLL.

Didn't get anything. If they hasn't jacked the price up, I might have bought the lined studio pants. I do like the two- toned swiftly on the Australian side. I will get that when it hits the US.

I've been very bad in the past few weeks, though from the upload I only got the my mantra pant in black and a white my mantra top (I have all the other colours already). Should have picked that last one up in store since they were on sale a while ago, but oh well.

In store, picked up some of last years' black/white WU crops. These were the tiny stripes, not the tonka cashew. They must have been hidden in a random corner of a warehouse somewhere. Of course I also got the tonka/cashew stripe WUCs, daily tank, CRB, bang buster headband, socks, and every yogi ls (all tonka/cashew stripe), and the heathered cashew scuba. Then I went on a bordeaux kick - the bordeaux stripe WUs, plain bordeaux WUs, bordeaux drama tonka stripe CRB and scoop me up tank.

Love the arm warmers and leg warmers in both the striped and grey heathered versions. Couldn't decide so got both.

There may be a couple more little things, but that covers the major stuff. Like I said, I have been very very bad.

I ordered the Alberta Lake striped power Y. Would love to see a solid AL in a turbo but wanted to get my fix now just in case a turbo isn't released. I like the fit of Power Ys and since I'm pretty new to lulu don't remember the power Ys with luon, only luon light. I liked the detailing on the back straps. We'll see if I like it in person too though. Would love to see some version of this color in a LS Yogi or whatever that new white/gray striped top you showed with the Asana bag (which I heart).

Pass. Everything I've bought in the last 6 months has fallen apart. I didn't even wake up early for the upload.

Ann said...

Did the bordeaux Scuba sell out in all sizes already?? Wow. I will be checking my local store for this.

Also like the new striped power Y's but the luon light is a bit flimsy for fall and winter weather :(

Anonymous said...

A very boring upload indeed. I don't buy something every week anyway, but nice to see some of the new colors/prints. None of the items interested me though. No CRB's in these yet? More shorts in new colors and speed squad tanks? Really?

That free to be bra in creamsicle is way too tight on the model they've used/wrong bra for her. Who "produces" these photo shoots? No one, it seems, since there are often things wrong with other items.

Anonymous said...

For the creamsicle flow y and finally pulled the trigger on the space dye/magnum WUC (hope they are not sheer). LOVING that teal on that power Y, I really really really want a CRB or define in that color!!

Also - did anyone notice the tender violet swiftly SL and LS on the AUS site? I have some power purple swiftlies but i really like the look of very violet, looks like a richer purple in that material, can't wait!

Why is the same tank Power Y Tonka Stripe Pigment Blue advertised as Luon Light in the US site, but as regular Luon in the Australia side?!
I would consider it if it is regular Luon. Can someone confirm?

Alberta lake macro stripe power y. I love black swan but not the lined dsp. I'm hoping for more Alberta lake items. I spent 10% of my usual expense last night. I might have been too upset with Monday night football to think Lulu. Still glad to save some money.

love. love, love the lined studio pants! Ordered the black this morning, as i have the grey from last year.
Its freezing in Ontario and these are perfect for watching outdoor/fall soccer games.

Anonymous said...

Is it me or the Alberta Lake teal Power Y is gone? I didn't even had the chance to buy one :(
Other than that, I'm happy with this teal, more grey, black swan...I'm not really a color person so that's fine with me:)

Anonymous said...

Oops, my bad, actually it is a Power Y light, I didn't see that :3

Anonymous said...

Even though it is a summer color, I am loving Creamsicle. But it looks very similar to Pop Orange, which is pretty recent?

I would love Scoop Me Up tank in the micro/macro Alberta Teal print.

This past month was very "blah" to me, but October's releases are looking promising!

Anonymous said...

I just got the pigment power y I've been waiting on! I like the black swan and alberta lake colors. If there was a CRB in that macro micro alberta blah blah blah print I would get it. These names are getting more and more ridiculous!

Anonymous said...

Did anyone see the No Limits tank in Creamsicle and Black Swan, on the Australian side? OMG...WANT!

Anonymous said...

Is anyone else noticing that when you click on the Alberta Lake colour for the Power Y you get a picture and description of the heathered silver stripe one??

I hope teal makes a good appearance. I'm so sick of pinks and purples (although the violet is pretty, haha) and pastel/neons!!

Why am I lusting after the BD scuba?!? I am sitting here drooling while wearing my BD define. Note to self: this is the definition of overkill, self. Keep your Visa in your wallet.

Jen said...

Checked the upload before my run at 5:30 PDT - all the BD scubas were there. Checked after my run at 7:15 - all of them were gone.

Nothing for me today. Picked up a few things over the weekend (pigment blue CRB when it popped up on Saturday and angel blue energy bra) and then pulled the trigger on the black studio pants yesterday before the price hike. I'm not a big fan of the colors that are now out ... I might be able to put my wallet away, for a couple of weeks at least.

Anonymous said...

I got the Flow Y bra in Rose Herringbone Polar Cream. I was really hoping we would see the groovy run shorts. I'll have to check out the Irvine Spectrum store this week to see if they got them in.

I ordered the BRDR Scuba. Would have loved to get the black swan Studio pants as well but a $20 price increase was just too offensive for me to go through with it. Too bad, these are perfect for early morning dog walk now that it's getting colder here in Montreal. But $120 + 15% sales tax, no thank you!

Anonymous said...

I am loving the tender violet and alberta lake!! Would love to see a special edition scuba in the pattern on the straps of the power y. Australia has tender violet swiftly tank - hope they come out with a pullover swiftly in this color.

Anon 5:06am

Magnum Space Dye looks good with Coal. I think BD would coordinate nicely as well.

Anonymous said...

I took plunge on DSP black swan. I had been on the hunt for the deep indigo so these are a good 2nd best for me but I did hesitate because of price increase - ugh! I am already annoyed that they won't hem these pants when it is just adding a buttonhole to the hem - should not be a big deal when you pay $118 for a pant!!! Again, my love-hate relationship with lulu continues...

on another note did anyone notice the NLT on the aussie side with black swan and creamsicle. I'm not sure about the combo but would love to see the black swan with tender violet - that would be gorgeous!

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 5:06 am - Black would probably work. If you can find it, Ghost white (antique white) is one of the colors in the space dye.

Not a fan of the granny rose print but Alberta Lake looks promising...is the "swish" noise in the lined studios really bad?

HPSauce said...

So I've been waiting for a good color of Astro pant, and I think it's finally here! I see that the BD/PP combo in the astro pant has arrived! I would LOVE to get that and the PP SCUBA together!! I can only hope that the pants and scuba will be around in three weeks... Or... Maybe I can at least talk my husband into letting me at least order the pants early.. Just so I don't miss out!

Anonymous said...

I love the rose herringbone! From the pic of the flow y bra, its look really textured. I'd love to see this in person. But didn't get it... Yet at least.

I got the astro pants with the black stripe and rose herringbone waist. I really wanted some with a more neutral waist, and these fit the bill.

Anyone remember the crops from last year with the rose mesh-like lace on the sides? So pretty. I would get those in a heartbeat if they came out.

HPSauce said...

As for the "swish" noise in the line studio pant, I haven't personally noticed it at all (I have the Dune colored lined SP). I'll have to pay attention the next time I put them on... It can't be that bad if I've never noticed...

Anonymous said...

I have all the colors in the DSPs, and I never hear a Swoosh sound. They are my favorite pants and LLL are also cutting these pants bigger. My old size 2s cut is more fitted than the current size 2s. I still love them and Thank GOd i bought them before the price hike!

Anonymous said...

@HPSauce What kind of fabric is the liner made of?

Anonymous said...

i had the same question: what is the liner made of? is it soft/fleecy or slippery/nylon-y?

and glad to hear the sizes are bigger - i have a pair of pants that may be DSP from a few years ago, and had to size up to 10. maybe i'll try these in 8.

HPSauce said...

I'm not sure... The web site description doesn't say, it only says fabric is "Swift". I also noticed that it says that the waistband has a continuous drawstring... Ummm... Nope.
And I can't tell you what the tag or hang tag say as I got rid of both back when I got mine in April.
I can tell you it is a softer material than the outer layer almost a jersey-like material.
