Mini Strore Trip Report - New Blue Color Spotted

There is a new blue color out in the Hold It Against Me bra. The color code is SYBL which the eds thought might mean Sky Blue. The bra is shown against an Angel Blue tank for comparison. I believe this is the same blue used for Sea Wheeze items. I found a listing on ebay that gives the color code for the below shorts at SYBL but haven't found a tag to confirm this. I wonder if we'll be seeing more items in this color. I wouldn't mind a Cool Racerback in it.

See Wheeze shorts

Nice... But not exactly a fall color.

$68 for an over the shoulder boulder holder. Wowzers.

And the schizophrenic color launches continue...

I just checked the tag for my blue & white striped luon racerback that I bought at seawheeze store (same blue as the seawheeze shorts) ... The color code was SESP

@ anon 2:48 pm - I know! That is why I didn't get this bra last time I tried it on even though I liked it a lot. It's just too much money to take a chance on it. I'll give it a go if they mark it down.

Wasn't Sky Blue much lighter? Last fall? Or am I thinking of a different blue?

Also how many shades of blue are there!?

"Also how many shades of blue are there!?" -- a LOT!!!

Blues!!! I'm in!
Also, got my AB WU pants today. Not sheer like ray, but not as thick as porcelain, it's ok. Some people will have sheerness issues, but I don't think it will be as common of a complaint as it was with Ray. I dig em' .

Blue is my favorite color but, come on, give us more variety. I also agree with the statement "schizophrenic color launches". It's starting to give me a headache.

Ohh, I have those SW shorts and LOVE the color. Hoping they bring it out in more than just the bra! (Also loved the melon color at SW)

@Anon 3:28 -- I think that color from last fall was called something like Clear Blue Sky? I have a long sleeve shirt in that that I LOVE!

Do you also buy lululemon product? I have boxes full of lululemon that I bought years ago and have never worn. It’s time to purge as I am a bit over the brand and my shopping addiction :)

I went to my store today and was happy to see colors of the bang busters (they sell out fast). I like for spin class. My store had very few clearance items today though. (Chandler, AZ)

On a side note...how many stores put those security tags on items? I live in two states and out of the 5 stores, none of them use sensors. Perhaps theft is becoming an issue?

On a side note, are these sensor things common? I live in two states and none of the 5 stores near me use them. Is lulu dealing with a lot of theft?

Does Ciel Blue ring a bell? I remember : sprinkler (darker), pigment, rocksteady from last year. I agree this is not a fall color but it will be good next year, right?

@ anon 7:29 pm - All the stores in my area have security tags on items.

@anon 7:29 - none of the nyc stores have sensor strips on the tag, but they all have the big clunky sensor tags on all the clothing...you know the ones with the pin that goes through the clothes that if you try to rip it off without the special machine you'll just rip a big hole in your clothing? i imagine it's smaller stores WITHOUT much theft that just use the sensors on the tags...since tags are super easy to just rip off clothes without ruining them

I remember clear sky from last year coming out close to Rocksteady. Then we've had indigo, porcelain, pigment (which we also had earlier this year/late last year-cannot remember), and angel blue....I do love blue and have some items from each color palette. Oh, I also have a sprinkler blue CRB, so I passed on the pigment CRB ( but I did by the tonka stripe power y in pigment).

It's a pass for me. I really don't need another blue in my wardrobe. Whatever happened to the awesome green we saw awhile back? Finally a color I loved, and it only came out in a Scuba. :(

I'm trying to remember if this bra had a big black sensor attached to it. I'm thinking because this bra is so snug fitting or the seam is in an odd spot it may not have one of those black sensor things on it so they had to put it on the tag.

The sensor on the price tag may also contain an rfid chip for inventory control/logistics. Instead of scanning each bar code.

An rf reader can scan dozens of rfid chipped items at once. Inventory can be tracked in real time. When a shipment arrives at the warehouse or store, an rf reader can transmit the style, size, and quantity information, before the box is even opened.

I felt the same about the Sattva pants. They were scratchy! Was surprised because people had said they were soft. I thought they'd end up irritating me.

Don't get the colours at the moment. Hard to find something in a colour that doesn't require a tan and mine is fading fast!

Wonder how close Spry Blue looks to Snorkel Blue. I think it's pretty close.

Anonymous said...

oh wow I just won those shorts from that exact listing :)

Anonymous said...

Love the new blue! Hoping it is close to snorkel!

yes the sattva pants looked cheap to me and like they would not last long. big pass for me. That blue bra was at my local store, I like the color, but not the bra, it is too high tech for me and way too expensive.
