Photos of the Latest

I'm reading the new Scubas are extra soft. I don't think I will see any in my local stores until January. That's when they came out last year in Southern California.

Light as Air Sleeveless. I just find the cut of this too boxy. I can see wanting a loose fitting top for running but this is kind of blah. I also can't get into wearing the Swift fabric as a tank. I'm still loving running in my Swiftly tanks. Come on Power Purple Swiftly tank!

Speaking of Power Purple Swiftlys, isn't this a Power Purple Swiftly headband? I saw a photo of this before and wrote it off as Bruised Berry but now that I see it next to a Power Purple tank and have seen photos of LS Power Purple Swiftly top it has to be PP. Power Purple Swiftly, you will be mine.

Currant Wunder Under Crops. I'm reading these are kind of sheer.

Silver Luxtreme Power Y with Currant WU pants. The luxtreme Power Y is really calling to me. Hang on to August. My lulu spending rolls over then.

White Sun Runner Hybrid top and Currant WU pants.

Pow Turbo Shorts.

I saw the currant WUs irl and they were just too bold for me! Is it me or does that scuba look longer?

OT - would you guys ever get two pairs of the same WU? I love the space dye ones - no CT, no sheerness. I'm tempted to keep the two pairs I got but DH said it's ridiculous and I should return one pair and use the money toward a different color. What do you guys think? Would you keep two of the same color?

Anonymous said...

Why are the pow speed short seamless? Does any one on here like the seamless? :(

Anonymous said...

A true addict would keep both. Just in case something happens to the first one. Always good to have a back up!

Anonymous said...

Lol! I guess I'm not a true addict yet because I'm here debating! More opinions, please! Would you keep two pairs of the same print?

In response to the seamless question, I don't care for seamless but know someone who love it.

Anonymous said...

11:17 absolutely keep both! I have done it on many occasions last time being my flash scoop neck tank! If you love it and it works for you then keep both! Always good to have a back up! Trust me! I always have 2 pairs of the same wucs which have a ruffle so cute and I would be heart broken if anything happened to them! They were made when Luon was real Luon! They will last me years!

Anonymous said...

Totally OT. I moved this past weekend and as I was unpacking my lululemon "collection", I started to wonder how other luluaddicts organize their items. Folded? Hung? Sorted by styles? Sorted by color? Tell me, please? Thanks!

Anonymous said...

If I saw a pair that I knew and loved hit Final Sale, I'd snap them up. If I was just buying them and hording them for later, I'd wear the first pair and keep the second pair with tags on. But I'd probably end up selling them when the next pattern or color came out that I loved even more!

Anonymous said...

@Anon 1:11am - I keep mine folded (maybe only because I don't have hanging space, my apartment is tiny!) sorted by activity (yoga vs run) and then sorted by type (bottoms vs tops) and then sorted by color.

The bottoms I then sort out by length (pants vs crops) while the tops I sort by sleeve type (tanks vs tees). I don't have jackets since they're not practical where I live (summer all year round!).

Disclaimer: I'm a little OC with my stuff so I do this kind of sorting with all my clothes, not just LLL. :)

The Pow Pink Turbos ARE NOT seamless. I bought a pair on Sunday, wore them on Monday and they have seams. They are my new fav short. The color is awesome...less neon than regular Pow Pink and the fabric is soft and lays beautifully.

Anonymous said...

Lots of Turbos restocked online. I really want the Flash but already have Pow Pink. Do you guys think they are different enough in color to own both? Flash has been one of my absolute favorite colors of LLL.

Anonymous said...

My goodness, ugly city. Light as Air tank...could they make a more unflattering top?! Terrible. Sun Runner hybrid...I still don't even know what to say. It's so bad! I get the whole new thing LLL making items for people to hide their issues but it is so not for me. I just need to accept that and realise I have to wait for the more fitted and tailored stuff. I'm still saying: can we get some new CRB's in some GREAT colours, please & thanks. A great CRB colour seems to be like trying to find water in the desert lately.
IMO the WU in Currant look like little kids pajama pants.

Anonymous said...

I have 2 walk in closets and I hang everything. I just hang it and that's it. I'm not OCD about colors, ect. LOL... if I don't have time, one of the maids does it. As long as its hung up, I'm happy... :)

Anonymous said...

I agree 5:26...I don't like many things that have been released lately. Red WUs remind me of a superhero. Some people can pull it off.....and look great doing it, while others, can't and it looks like they are screaming at the world, "LOOK AT ME!! LOOK AT ME!" LOL...

Anonymous said...

@ 1:11 AM, folded and in drawers. am not OCD, just basically organised. Running bottoms and tops are separated from yoga bottoms and tops. CRB's go with both. Headbands live in the same drawers. Only jackets get hung up. I have a normal closet and my professional and formal clothes take up that space. I have a Hemnes 8-drawer dresser (ikea) that is very generous and solid and a great storage solution.

Anonymous said...

I LOOVE IKEA!!!! :)

Here's a question -- do yall think we will see a pair of currant slub WUs released? I have the currant WUs on their way to me, but since I plan to wear them more with tunics and dresses and boots Im wondering if I should send these back and hope that a denim slub arrives? what do we think the odds are? Thanks!

I got my pot scuba yesterday and it is über soft!!! It's my first scuba and although pricey it is the nicest most flattering sweatshirt ever!! The color is rich and deep... I'm in love!

Anonymous said...

Hi it's anon 5:41 AM again, meant to add that I generally end up hanging up my few Scubas too, but they may get stored away (but still easily accessible) if mostly not used in the off season, if you live where there are seasons.

LOL I like that on this blog we cover off everything from LLL details (& often other clothes) to underwear recs to laundry tips to organising/storage practices and solutions

Anonymous said...

@ Michelle 6:11 AM, congrats on your first Scuba. Yes, once you own one you'll be drawn to/want other colours! Haha I like how you called it the "pot" scuba, maybe that's what they should have called it to be tongue-in-cheek. It is a BC based company after all. I'm Canadian, we know the stereotypes LOL. But noooo, we do NOT all smoke pot, drink tons of beer, and not everyone is diehard for hockey...I can safely speak for me, family, friends. Like anywhere though, the typical stereotypes do exist.

Anonymous said...

She didn't ask WHO hung up your clothes, just whether they were hung or folded. To throw in that "if I don't have time, one of the maids does it" is just in bad taste and classless. Tsk tsk.

Anonymous said...

LOL.......

Anonymous said...

LOL indeed.

I think the cutout on that tank looks like a uterus.

I love the Currant WU's but unfortunately don't think they look flattering on almost anybody.

I only have one Scuba, a special edition one, and it's so soft, I want another! I have a couple of older style scuba/remix (not sure which ones they are) and my new one is so much softer and nicer. If these new ones are nicer, I may snap one up!

Ingenue said...

Hi LuluAddict. The South Coast product notification had scubas this week. I'm not sure if they will have limited colors or what, but that is the "cold weather" store in OC, so likely they will have scubas out well before the other are stores. I hope thy helps you!

Anonymous said...

I was in Fashion Island store yest. and 4 pr.s of Currant WU pants had crap stitching on the back waistband area near inner tag but on outside (about 2-4 inches). The SA said she was from headquarters and agreed about all the QC issues. While I was looking the WU over we both saw the stitching and she shook her head. She brought back other prs but they all had faulty stitching there!! I passed. It made me wonder if there were other bad areas on the WU that I didn't examine.

I'm getting reluctant to buy online since I want to inspect the actual item now...just ordered ss swiftly today that has me wondering if the stitching will be good.

I did buy an NLT but choose one that had better stitching overall.....it's getting sloppy now. Buyer beware!

Anonymous said...

A product notice from my local store had Pow pink reversible to black groove shorts!!! These didn't come out online yet, but I love my BB ones so these are a must have for me (assume no bleeding)!

Anonymous said...

What's up with the website getting my hopes up that a sold-out item has been restocked, but the desired color disappears when I go to the specific item's page? :-(
Also, I think the Pow Pink and Flash Light Turbos are different enough to own both pairs. You're welcome, Anon 4:27; I'm an enabler.

Sourkraut said...

@Anon 7:55 - I've been noticing that happening quite a bit lately. I know nothing about e-commerce but their site seems a little "off" in a few ways. It's most annoying when you go to place an order and the order seems to go through only to have a cancellation email pop up in your mailbox hours later because the item's out of stock. I don't think I've ever had that happen with another site. A small gripe but it's a little odd to me when other stores don't seem to have this problem. I hope the item you're wanting does come back in stock for you!

yogibabe said...

@anon July 25, 2012 11:17 PM
In regards to duplicate items, yes, I do have "pet" items that has an identical twin standing by. Just in case! LOL!!! A true addict, with a spare! My dear husband actually encourages it, since he can't bear seeing me going around the house muttering, "I should have bought the other one!" in the case where one favorite item was damaged beyond repair. [Only happened once, a very favorite top that is no longer in production ("rare, hard to find" etc.) were snagged by my then puppy's sharp claws. Oh well....]

@anon July 26, 2012 1:11 AM
Like most other posters:
All are separated by types. Pants, crops, tanks, l/s, s/s. Only hang the jackets, but in rotation due to season. Those jackets that are not in season are folded with minimal creases and placed in storage containers. :)

LOL at uterus comment!

- OH and I know what you mean anon 5:33 about the red leggings somehow screaming LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME! LOL That's what I mean about - wear with BOLD FUN attitude!
=D
But everyone I see wearing them seem to generally be outgoing happy people who aren't throwing any snooty vibes! mine aren't WU - but lava BY, which are still super bright red. I love them so much. .. I think they do give me super powers LOL holding plank longer - deeper pushups!! hahah
all i need is a cape!

Sourkraut said...

Minda, you're making me love red leggings even though I am so not an outgoing person. I'm half tempted to buy a pair now and sew myself a cape to go with them. I'm just weird enough that I'd probably wear that around the house to amuse my husband and cats.

yogibabe said...

SUPERMINDA! lol!
I have a pair arriving today and I'll rock it with my inkblot Power Y. I always feel lighter, happier when I wear bright pretty colors. Agree with you on the super powers bit! :D

Anonymous said...

Lol at the maid comment. Insecure much.
I keep all my LLL gear in the chopper, ready to go. ;P

Anonymous said...

Oh, I like the sound of inkblot with the currant WUs! Navy and red is so patriotic, preppy to me. Love. Sourkraut, thanks for wishing my target item comes back in stock (sz. 8 Mirage pacesetter, anyone want to unload theirs?)! I'm watching one on eBay, as well. Also, Sourkraut, don't you own the navy and white "hamburgler" tank? That would be SO fab with currant WUs. Super-duper preppy! Fun, fun! A very non-Christmasy, summertime look IMO.

Anonymous said...

The uterus comparison was so freakin funny!

Fold all of my Lulu and stacked, even scubas, and I keep most of it in my laundry room on shelves because I don't have a large closet. Pants together, capris together, yoga tanks folded in half across the width and stacked color coded. SS in one drawer, LS in another, jackets (define and misc) in a couple others. DSP's and crops usually with my "street clothes". Oh and I do separate Spring/Summer from Fall/Winter colors and styles.

But my real comment is that since I've backed down tremendously on my spending/collecting because of quality selection (and let's face it since the first of the year, and this past week especially everything is not as nice as it used to be...I'm not going to say ugly or unsophisticated...) I was sad at first. But now having to go back into the "archives" (lol) I am so, so, so appreciating many of the pieces I've had for years.

The quality is noticeable for sure and I'm rediscovering old favorites. More importantly I'm realizing how much I don't "need" and am enjoying making those few and far between purchases of only the new pieces I love. Gone are the days of buying a new items because they are the latest styles.

Not really liking the red paired with white btw.

Sourkraut said...

@Anon 8:42 - Good call! I do indeed have the so-called Hamburglar tank. Despite that unfortunate nickname I still enjoy wearing mine. I feel no shame in being associated with a food-obsessed felon. I think that would pair wonderfully with red. Perhaps another shopping trip is in order.

Now I really hope you find what you're looking for! The mirage print has grown on me and I adore the one Pacesetter skirt I own. I'm usually too nervous to wear it since I seem to attract enough negative attention when I run in my neighborhood. I've had three people shout at me out of car windows in the past two months. I don't know if it's good or bad that I can't actually hear what they're yelling. Because of that I only wear the skirt when I drive to the community center one town over that has a short trail in the woods and seems more hospitable to exercisers in general. I think people in my area are befuddled whenever they see someone out exercising and don't know how to cope with their feelings.

Anonymous said...

Ladies...what are the chances of the speeds ( with seems) coming out in currant? Has this been released previously?

Thanks :)

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry not speeds the turbo short.

Anonymous said...

Wow, Sourkraut! That is NOT cool! I'm sure they are cat calling at you rocking a skirt and being generally fabulous. But, still, they should mind their own business. I don't own a pacesetter, but I know that you've said in the past that you feel self-conscious in shorts... So, if you like this skirt style, then I probably will too (I also suffer from an aversion to short shorts). I love my other LLL skirts (older styles, I can't recall their names).
If it makes you feel better, I drove a Honda civic with a sunroof for 10 years. I always kept my sunroof shade open to get some sunlight in my life. But I was constantly getting honked at by truckers. I think that they could see into my car through the sunroof. Anyway, it's not like I wear revealing stuff when I drive. I think they could just tell I was a cute female and felt the need to let me know. I'm sure you're getting that same type of attention. Harmless but embarrassing.
Sorry if I am reciting all these stalker-esque facts about you. I'm a regular reader/poster, but I dont have an avatar/log-in name thingy. Not sure how to do that on my phone, and iPhone is the only way that access this site.
Whew, long post! Same old Anon.

You know, I don't know if it's my all-time favorite, but I find myself wearing the Heathered Rocksteady Good Karma Pullover all the time. It was on WMTM not long ago. Oh man, favorite Lululemon item! I'll do favorite top and favorite bottom too--I'm relatively new to Lululemon, so I don't have a ton of the old favorites like others do! And I'm a runner, so the clothes I buy mostly are for running.

Top: has to be Run: Silver Bullet Sleeveless Tech. I got this on impulse from WMTM, never having tried it on. OMG I love it! I love the silverescent material, I love the cut, and I love the little ipod shuffle holder. Perfect!

Bottoms: Have to go with my Inspire II crops, although I JUST wore my Sun Sprinters for the first time yesterday and they were DIVINE. They might be a new favorite. But the (old rise! not the new!) inspires are fantastic, perfect for fall and spring running.

Overall, I'd say the bottoms are really worth investing in, especially if you can find good quality ones. Some of their top styles are classics, yes (CRB, Power Y, etc.) but you can find close approximations for a lower cost elsewhere. The high quality bottoms REALLY make you look different, feel different, and support you while you sweat!!

anon @ 11:17 PM, add me in to the list of those who has lots of doubles (and in the case of black and black wee are from space print WUs and black recognition pants, triples). Most greys and blacks I tend to double if the style is comfortable, a habit I picked up when the scarcity model was more in play (and the quality model more in play too)

Bright or fun colours in any style, save for the cotton mix pow pink diversity crops which I have 2 pair, I will stick to just one pair.

I've also been known to double and triple up on basic tops like the rehearsal, the every yogi ls, the new diversities, and various tanks. I won't list all the rest, because I'll look like a lulunut, if I don't already.

For storage, I have one completely lulu-dedicated dresser (Ikea Hemnes, yay Ikea!), and a stand alone clothes rack where I hang all easy-wrinkers, things like the studio pant, the om pant, and things with zippers (stay the course crops, those wandering yogis with the metal ties at the ankle, jackets, etc.)

The irony? I don't even do yoga. I just lounge around and work at home. Yes, I'm the anon who tells the educators my purpose for use is non-competitive lounging or advanced lying on the sofa.

BTW...the run in the sun pullover is excellent for lying on the sofa when you're dressed but need a quick nap.

Anonymous said...

@ anon 9:18, it's 9:54 again. I'm a runner and do yoga, I have a fair amount of gear. To me, CRB's are essential as are Speed Shorts. For warmer weather running, I run in nothing else. Ever since LLL created SS, I ditched all other brand gear. I've been considering Turbo shorts again; they're a good alternative if you like a little more length. Other good basics to have: a Scuba (at least 1), a pair of WU crops and pants, and a pair of run crops (my latest favorites are the Run Fast & Free & Run Excel). For yoga, I love a CRB, Y Bra (the soft one from the Gap, actually), and WU crops and Ebb & Flow crops. Once you have some basics that work so well, you easily end up wanting to acquire more, and build on what you have. I wouldn't say I'm a true addict...I'm actually of the "pays to wait" mindset and I will often wait for things to go on sale in store or on wmtm. There's always some new, beautiful thing to love. Lately, with the quality issues, it's also much easier to just wait and be even more particular about what you buy. Highly recommend you read the product reviews before you buy. Sometimes reviews are a deal breaker if there's too much negativity from people who have really worn/tested the items. Cheers!

Too funny, the Light As Air Sleeveless really does look like an errant thong attached itself while in the dryer.

Favorite top hands down are the swiftlys...both short and ls. I find them super flattering and work for all types of activities.

My favorite piece has to be my black method wrap from last year. I receive a ton of compliments every time I wear it. Here is hoping to more awesome wraps in the fall!

Anonymous said...

my favorite lulu piece are my LUX Hoodies and my Be Still pants!!! Wish they would make a come back! :)

Anonymous said...

@ anon 10:46 "non-competitive lounging or advanced lying on the sofa", you have written this before, LOL. Nice one. LLL SeaWheeze app, tackle box training schedules this in. They call it: 'sweatpantasana' and the location is 'your couch'

As for doubles/triples/scarcity model, I get it but I don't do it. The only time I've done that is with my Still Pants. Bought more back up when they discontinued them! All of my LLL gear gets used and rotated for actual working out...I'm pretty hardcore. Once something (brand, their gear) works for me, I'm very loyal. I'm in LLL a lot. It holds up over years and I like that it just works. Although quality issues of late do have me concerned. I've been lucky so far.

LOL Hemnes - I'm the one that wrote about having the 8 drawer one.

OT....I have very oily skin on my face, but so many cleansers DRY ME OUT! I want an amazing face wash...for combination skin, that removes all traces of makeup, but doesn't cause dryness or cause ZITS!! Any suggestions from all the flying Lulu superwomen, that wear red tights?! :) Help!!! I own about 20 different face washes from Lancôme to Bare Minerals to Mary Kay. @ anon 11:23...I've been where you are, with too much product. I have sensitive skin and oily/combo skin, especially in spring/summer, and my skin gets dry in fall/winter. I don't buy the too much stuff anymore. I had product ADD and nothing would work. I use a line by Pure + Simple (I live in Toronto but you can order stuff on-line, they ship to all of Canada & USA). I get regular facials at P+S (and my facialist (? correct word) REALLY helped me simplify. I use P+S cleanser, tonic and moisturizer (Holistic Vanity Tonic and HV Pomegranate Lotion...these last 2 are a bit more pricey but they LAST!). I'm not totally clear all the time (what can you do, hormones do what they do!) but am better/good most of the time. You can buy different sizes (smaller, larger) in most products.

I've been dealing with acne for 30 years. Not as many breakouts now, but it's a pain to deal with wrinkles and acne at the same time. I use Tazorac (Retin A) and alpha hydroxy face wash to keep the breakouts at bay. The prescription strength Retin A products like Tazorac and Retin A Micro are great for fine wrinkles too. They can be harsh, but I find two applications/week does the trick.

Beauty Without Cruelty Facial Cleanser 3% AHA This is the most cost effective face wash I've tried. Costs 1/3 of what I used to pay for the Murad Clarifying Cleanser.

Anonymous said...

On the Facewash thread, I like Shu Uemura cleansing oil. I know that it sounds crazy to wash your face with oil ( and I have oily/combo skin that is prone to breakouts), but the oil actually bonds with your skin's natural oil and make-up and removes them when rinsed off. It removes all my eye make-up in 1 step and leaves my face soft. Also, I like Olay Regenerist night cream and CeraVe day cream with SPF. I order my Shu U. from the company's website, but the two moisturizers can be purchased at any drug store. Also, I keep Cetaphil in the shower b/c it's more difficult to use the cleansing oil in there (you apply it to dry skin before rinsing). Hope this helps!

Yes, I'm in Canada.... I will listen to all suggestions and they are appreciated. I even used a MAC creamy face wash which I love...but it dried me out and gave me zits! can you buy pure and simple at any drugstores in Canada? I emailed them and they pretty much didn't tell me anything. LOL... (saw a commercial on TV about them) Any face washes with oil or....all organic, tend to give me terrible break outs!! Thanks ALL! :)

Oooh, gotta jump in on the must have LLL items, though I only started stocking up in the past year... I primarily do yoga, hike, run and go to the gym. All my tops are multi purpose at the moment. I love Power Ys, but I've started to appreciate the extra coverage and support of a CRB with Flow Y. I'm a 32C/D and like the Free To Be bra as well, but it is definitely lower cut. No Limits Tank is a great top too. On to bottoms, I'm all about Wunder Unders. They also work well for the gym and hiking, but I prefer cooler luxtreme crops like the Inspires for that. The only shorts I own and actually wear are Speeds. If you held my feet to the fire and made me pick one top and one bottom I'd get the most use out of, it would be a Power Y and Wunder Under Crops.

Also have to jump in on the Currant WU... tried them on in the store yesterday. There were soft, which was nice since the fabric of the Bruised Berry just felt odd. But shocker, they were sheer, I could obviously see the tag and my nude undies when bending over. I even thought they looked a little sheer when standing upright. I tried sizing up and they bagged all around my knees and crotch. Plus the red just didn't look good on me at all. It probably leans on the orange side of a true red, which apparently doesn't work with my coloring. And I think the thinness of the fabric made my rear end look squishy, which is a first for LLL pants! My guess is with that weight fabric in that color, they'll show sweat in a serious way as well. So, blah, pass for me.

The only lulu items that I fold are my CRBs. I stagger them in straight lines, so I can glance in and see all my colors. I have a row of solid, heathered, stripes, and SE. I place the matching headband on top of its' tank. I hope this doesn't sound nutty, but it works for me.

I have never found a gentle cleanser that removed makeup well. I struggled with mild acne after turning 30, like many women. Now I use a makeup remover (Clinique take the day off cleansing milk) first, followed by Cetaphil. This works well for me, since harsh cleansers make me break out. The other thing that helped me was Differin, prescribed by my dermatologist.

Minda - they are the black wee space crops that showed up a week ago. The ones with a lavender grey tone. What do u think? Keep both?!!

Regina- its a light purple , more like lavender

As for storing , I roll mine up to save space and avoid wrinkles!

I hope some CRBs are going to WMTM. The silver spoon stripe and that light pink color disappeared from the site.

OT, I was looking at the Canadian site and saw a new CRB color (dense purple?) in the picture of the wee stripe iconic wrap. Also the strap of the yoga mat does look teal to me. I can't wait for fall colors and styles!

@ anon 12:08 PM, it's me again re: pure + simple. no, haven't seen it in drug stores, just at their shop/spa. They do ship though...realise it is a hassle if you don't know if it's going to work. This is what they post about the contents of the wash...

This concentrated cleanser will gently purify blemished skins without disturbing its moisture barrier

Made from Aloe Vera, revered for its ability to heal the skin.
Centipeda Cunnighamii extract, a member of the daisy family, has potent anti-inflammatory + anti-bacterial properties along with soothing anti-irritant benefits

Panthenol is a form of B vitamin and increases the humectant properties of the skin.
The minerals in the complex penetrate the skin's basal layer to replenish devitalized cells.
The absorption of necessary minerals is vital to the nourishment of the skin cells.

I got the black wee space wunder unders last week and I love them. They are not see through and they are made in CANADA!!! I love that! They also go with indigo, navy, all the purples and lilacs, black, rose blush etc. I am happy!

Anonymous said...

If I could only have one lulu item, I would choose my black Define jacket. It is the most useful thing I have, and it makes me look so slim!

After that, I'd probably go with the (old faithful) Wunder Under crops and my Swiftly short-sleeve t-shirts. After that, CRBs and Turbo shorts. And after THAT...

Make sure you're wearing running hats and using sunscreen everyday too. You'll thank me when you're 40.

My regular dermatologist recommends Eucerin Daily Protection Moisturizing Face Lotion, SPF 30. <$10 for 4 oz.

My cosmetic dermatologist recommends Revaleskin and Neova products. $100 for 2 oz.

Probably wasting money, but I mix Revaleskin and Eucerin together because I don't want to miss out on potential coffeeberry magic antioxidation properties. The realistic side of me knows this is silly, the optimistic side thinks, yeah, I think there is less UV damage.

@anon 11:23

The origins checks and balances (frothy face wash)... A tiny amount product produces a rich later, and leave my (oily) skin feeling super clean, without feeling tight or dry. I use a separate eye makeup remover if I'm wearing waterproof mascara, but it removes all other makeup that I wear (foundation, eye shadow, etc). You should be able to ask for a sample at sephora or a department store. If not, they have a travel size at a reasonable price.

I also like philosophy's purity face wash, which is great at removing makeup, but my preference would be origins checks and balances.

Ok, light as air top-agreed boxy and not for me... BUT on my 65 year old Mother. She looks great in that thing! She has an "Apple" shape (carries her weight in her midsection only) and it is just roomy enough without bagging on her.

Anon-10:58 too funny about thong from the dryer!! I'll be thinking about that statement every time I see that shirt!

Favorite Lulu pieces, swiftly tops, and I dig the hot integrity tank style.

Favorite bottoms- WUC's and the Relaxed Fit Pants...love those pants! Comfy like sweats but so much more stylish, and the waist rolls down for when I want to rock some Abs;) Also look great when I'm feeling just
a bit bigger than my WUC's :)

Jackets-DSJ, scuba and stride.

Try it all! See what works for you and never look back because I'm certain the addicts on an "addict" sight could potentially have a challenge identifying a single Lulu piece. Just sayin'.

anon 11:15 AM, I would kick ass at sweatpantasana if it were a sport, and I love the Hemnes collection. Decent quality and sturdy. A pain to put together though, and I'm usually an Ikea construction master. Maybe it's because I lived in Sweden for awhile.

I do admit my doubling and tripling of older items was seriously out of control for awhile, but I'm glad I did it now, because a lot of those staples are the old pieces that will last. The only issue is I've gone down in size (post-pregnancy weight loss, not actual exercise responsible) and so some things, while still wearable, don't look quite as fabulously rear end flattering as they used to, because the waist is slightly baggy.

On another note, I noticed last night an old pair of WUs that still had a hang tag on it that described luon and said something to the effect of "this garment is made to last for 5 years of hard wear".

I then looked at the tags on my new currant WUs and anything else new with tags still on and there was no such promise. Maybe just coincidence, but.....

anonymous me said...

anon 11:23 AM, I have problem skin too and the only wash I have ever found that works for me is dermalogica. I noticed a difference within a week, my face was not only clear, but the skin noticibly softer. The price point is high but a bottle lasts a very long time because you only need a very tiny bit each time.

Hi anon 1:44, it's 11:15: agreed on Hemnes collection. It took me so long to put that dresser together! I use to like tackling that stuff but not anymore. I succeeded, however, without a misstep (yay).

Ahh, sizing changes...the pitfalls of stocking up. It's still has its pluses though, as you could do well on ebay I'm sure. (I myself have not bought or sold LLL stuff on ebay).

You are correct on the hang tag in red about the 5 year promise...once those tags went to the new black version, the promise disappeared and the deteriorating quality began.

@anon 12:40 LOL I'm the WRONG person to ask about keeping WU! I'm such an ENABLER! BUT I will pose the question so you can answer!!! Will you use these a lot? Will you eventually wear them out and need another pair? Will they be a NEED not just a want? If you answered YES to all of the above questions KEEP them!! If you answered NO to any of the above questions . .. KEEP THEM IN CASE!!! lol

- LIP BALM! My fav is MY OWN. I make my own with soy, stevia for sweetening, jojoba, organic flavoring of anything you can imagine from lavender to rose to mint etc. Sometimes I use bees wax but I got this huge essay from PETA on the cruel culling of bees ... . I also make my own body butter using unrefined shea butter, jojoba oil, and essential oils. I'm hooked on Rosemary and Lavender - also I like to sometimes just drown myself in patchouli. lol.
Other days Im a Lavender Jasmine person - or a tea tree lavender.
I had my own business which I closed because I don't have time to do all of it while pursuing degrees! but you can look at my website though its preeeety!! Just got off work and, Oh my! Lots of readings to catch up from all my lulu friends. Feels like a coffee break time! :)

-Just received my caspian blue Scuba. Love! So supersoft! LLA, feels like our snowy owl print and the white tinted canvas print. Pleasantly surprised by the softness from a solid colored Scuba. Stitchings are all good. Phew! Was worried when I read a post from someone who saw it in a store and reported that the stitchings on the caspian and portapotie were bad. Lucky, lucky me, especially since I ordered this from online.

-Scoop Me Up in caspian is perfecto!

Currant WU crop....I was holding my breath on this...is beautiful! The red is not as bright and vibrant, when compared to my currant (in your face-Red!) Scuba from the Ninja upload. But it is still a bright and pretty red. I am sure that the difference in the fabric of those two, luon and cotton fleece, plays a significant role in the intensity of the dye. Triangle gusset (sorry for this news to some). Thank goodness that I am able to wear this with no CT issue, (triangular gusset is always tricky, almost a CT issue for me. Depends on the placement of the triangle, a smidge farther back will equate to CT, for me). But I do very much prefer the diamond/oval gussets. And not see through, for me too. Phew!

Now to the question of most favorite lulu piece. I just cannot pick one!

Bottom: SE/print WU crop

Top: Currently, Namaste tank-a gorgeous halter tank that can be worn by a wide variety of body types AND bust sizes. That alone is amazing, plus the fact that I can do my yoga practise in it with no fussing on the tank, whatsoever!

Jacket: DSJ- a perfect hybrid of a stylish/elegant jacket, with a hood! :)

Multi purpose pants: Quick Step

Long and Short sleeves Ts: Swiftly, hands down!

Now, to the acne issue. I am also a sufferer of what is called the "adult onset acne". Acne at the start of my cycle, after the age of 30. I thought I was home free in the acne department, once I sailed through acne free during my teenage years. Payback time, now that I'm older. My doctor prescribe Evoclin Foam 1% (clindamycin phospate). I rarely will get the acne at the onset of my cycle, but if I do (due to stress, lack of sleep and all those good things...)I will get those gynormous, volcano acne. Only one, but humongous and painful! The topical foam will get rid of it in a couple of days or so. I swear it's like magic. For face wash, I use Aveeno clear complexion foaming cleanser.

Okay, this is the longest post from me, ever! Last word of hurrah: Keep Calm & Super Hero On! (borrowed from AZ Lulu Fan or was it Focus?, from a previous post!)

My closest store just uploaded a pic of the newest items to Facebook and there's a top I don't recognize. It could be one of the tanks layered with a scarf but it doesn't look like any mirage print tank I've seen. Any ideas from the experts? It's the one on the bottom right.

I have an app on my phone called wardrobe journal! I am only telling you lulu friends about it! Others would think I am bananas! Haha! You can take pics of your outfits, what activity you used it for... And who saw you wearing it! Then... You can scroll through and see what you have or haven't worn where... And who has or hasn't seen a particular outfit. I know.... It's obscene, but I adore playing with my workout clothes! There! That's a super secret!!!

Anonymous said...

Speaking of covers it all dress, that is one of my fav Lulu items!! So soft, comfy and versatile. My other fav Lulu items have to be E&F crops and any slub denim WUs. Swiftlys and CRBs are awsome too!!

I have horrible acne. 22 years old so I'm guessing my hormones are going haywire, especially during that special time of month. My dermatologist recommended Cetaphil and perscribed Benzoyl Peroxide Gel 5%, which is the only thing that keeps it under control. I can't wait to get older. My mother said she had bad acne when she was my age but now her skin is flawless...

Anonymous said...

skinceuticals - hands down! My dermotologist recommends it and my plastic surgeon recommends that brand too. Been out in the sun to much in my teens and 20's (lifeguarding and teaching)and the sun has not been good! Check it out, really good results!

So I got my stuff today from this weeks upload... does anyone else think the fit of the scuba is different? Yes, it is really soft and feels great but it seems to me like it's not as fitted in the armpit area as it used to be, and has more of a "batwing" effect? Does anyone else think this? I just tried on some of my older ones and really think it's different.

Also, did anyone get the denim slub WUs? I cant tell if my eyes are playing tricks on me or whether they actually appear more bruised berry purple than denim.

Lastly, got the currant WUs -- definitely thinner and pretty sure.... not sure whether to keep or send back.

Thoughts????

I don't know if this is a reissue, but it's new to me... "Om Tote!!!" Beautiful currant color, black, and a new chevron type pattern. It's large, approx the size of the Flow N Go. $128.

Got a zippered outer compartment to hold a notebook and a mobile device/ tablet. Other outside has a drawstring pocket and a phone pocket. Main compartment has a top zipper but is still "open" if that makes sense. Center mesh zippered divide.

Can't decide if I'm gonna keep it or not, but man, that currant is to die for!

Yes! I tried the scuba on in the store and I always had that batwing effect even with the old style, but it seems to be much more noticeable now. I'm usually a size 6, and even the size 2 had oversized shoulders

I tried on the WUs in the new Fall 12 Quilt 30 and the material felt thicker to me. Is this because it is a fall item?

My favorite item is my running bacalva (spelling? The neck warmer). It makes fall/winter/spring runs so much better and is way lighter then the scarf I used to use. After THREE years, I finally got a pair of run gloves. Looking forward to using them this fall as I was due to deliver when they arrived. These items are what got me into lulu, had me spend thousands over the years, and keep me shopping still.

If anyone's interested I just received my Aus order from this week... 5 items but only one's a keeper!
I was super excited about the Unity Pullover but OMG its horrible!!! The fabric one at the back just looks wrong... all wrinkly and weird. Like someone made a mistake in the factory! lol. For something I thought I'd love I honestly wouldn't even buy it at half price. Oh and its super tight in the sleeves so if you do order one don't size down!
Also got the Venus Tank... I'm a small Lulu size 4 (A-B cup) and got a 6 based on the reviews. That was too tight on me and rode up oddly under the armpits. Also the underbust seam just appears to sit too high?!? No love for that one.
The Fossil Blazzer CRB is by far the scratchiest and most uncomfortable of all the printed ones I've tried. Didn't really like the print on that scale either... think it would look nicer in a bra.
Lastly the Currant Trinity bra... wow that is soooo high cut at the front! Back is so cute but did not like the front at all... and on me it looked ridiculous with a CRB layered over top.
The only thing I'm keeping is a good old trusty Arise bra in black! Ha... not a very successful order.

Oh and on skincare... I'm in my 30's and finally my skin is clearing up after switching to this awesome brand http://sukiskincare.com/pages/shop+by+concern+acne+with+combination+to+oily+skin so I'd highly recommend it to anyone :)

Amy b 7:12 PM...I don't think you're crazy lol and I'm not surprised there's an app. I do a lo-tech version of this and I will only confess it here too! I run and do yoga a lot...I keep track of it all in a paper/book type calendar. It was mainly always for the dates I ran and running km's I put in when I'm training for races. Of course, also what xtraining and yoga I've done, the dates I did whatever/went to yoga. Normal! Sooo the confession is, for yoga classes, I also make a note of what I wore! I like my stuff to get fairly rotated and I don't like to wear my gear too close together. I honestly don't judge people if they wear the same clothes to class etc., I really do not notice. As for work clothes, I pretty much keep track of it in my head. It all gets breathing room. But a GUY can wear the same suit in the same week - even the next day - as long as they change out the shirt and tie, and would anyone notice or care? Probably not! Gosh, what we women do. LOL I realise some of you out there are not like this, and god bless you. I swear I am really quite chill otherwise...it's all the endorphins and extra breathing from running & yoga!

p.s. I swear I'm not going to d/l that app haha

Then, a cowl neck dolman top, drop shoulder shirt, and a Graphite short short, all for $55! What a deal!

re: problem skin. I'm another one. Small spell of bad acne in my teens. Came back in my late 30's...I am now just 40. I have done everything! When it returned I went to a dermatologist. Had it under control and then it went haywire (but I've had some really tough sh!t happen in my life...parents and siblings passing away, no kidding). Anyway, mostly stress/emotional and NOW hormonal. I have had the cystic ones, very depressing. Now mostly under control with no meds and just some benzamycin topical stuff. On the plus side, with the oilier skin, I do look quite youthful. No joke, I'm mistaken for being in my 20's all the time, just like someone else mentioned earlier. I know that protecting myself from the sun and being super active has a lot to do with that as well.

I'm trying to think of what items I have as mutiples. Only two items - black Wunder Under Grooves (2) and Boogie On Tall shorts in Nightmarket Blue (kind of like bike short length boogie shorts) (2) - I got them on markdown a few years ago. Nothing else is an exact duplicate but if I knew Remix Light hoodies were never going to be seen again I would have stocked up on those.

As for my closet - all my lulu bottoms are folded in drawers except for my studio crops, which are hung. All my tanks and jackets are hung. My tanks were organized by color but now by style. Since I am doing a lot of running now I want only one running section to look through to find a top.

I used to keep track of what I wore. I have a "virtual closet" in Power Point where I have photos of my lulu tanks, jacket, and bottoms and would make a slide for each month and copy the photo of the tank I wore. I kind of fell out of the habit of using it, though.

I cannot pick one favorite lulu item but if I had to, probably my black wee stripe Wunder Unders though my black space dye ones are getting a lot of wear lately.

Ok girls, I am definitely in the zone here. I love this discussion. My favorite Lulu item is my get started jacket and my dhanurasana crops. I have all the colors they have since I joined this cult. Second, I use History of Whoo (it's Asian skin care product)-- hard to find, made in Korea. But for local products I like Mario Badescu enzyme cleansing gel. It does not foam but cleans pretty well. I also use one I bought from QVC or HSN (one of those), it's called Beauty Bioscience Balancing Cleanser (pH balanced). I'm 44 with combination skin but I don't like my skin to dry out. I get a facial every 4 to 6 weeks from an Aveda salon just for an extra boost to my facial regimen. Did this confuse you all enough?
Ok. I have another favorite. I don't remember what it is called. It's the wrap that has buttons on the collar/lapel. French terry I think but it feels like the every yogi tee that is thicker ( always sells out). The last time it came out the lulu site crashed (that's what the GEC said to me when I called in my order).

@anon 7:25 PM & anon 8:01 PM

Got the measuring tape out for the Scubas. Measured three different Scubas, Snowy Owl (SO), Currant (C) from ninja upload (assuming the same as Currant from Dec 2011), and the latest Caspian Blue (CB).

Length: CB is about 3/4" longer than the other two.

Width: All are very close, 1/8" give or take, with CB as the widest.

Sleeve length: Surprised that all three are the same. Could have sworn that CB is longer than both.

Shoulder: CB is 1/4" larger than SO and C.

So, I think it's the softer, less thick (if only slighty) fabric of the CB and SO that made those two feel "looser" than my "regular" thicker/stiffer Scubas. My shoulder is a little wide for my frame, so I see the usual tiny "batwing" by the pits, which made moving my arms easier with the thick cotton fleece. At least, this is my take on the latest batch (or in my case, the caspian blue) Scuba.

About the currant WU. Mine is the crop. Yes, the fabric feels thinner than my older (3-5 years) WUCs. But I feel that it is the same thickness as the latest deep indigo, maybe a smidge thicker than the flash and flash/dune wee stripe. I am just comparing the solids and wee stripes. The print ones (fossil beachy floral and all, are totally a different kind of species altogether, imo!). My husband inspected my "bend over" test and he gave it the thumbs up. I'm keeping mine but will also try to get the currant slub denim if it will comes in the WUC. Love those for the cooler fall/winter. The color seems richer too, in that fabric. Have not washed it, so I can't comment on bleeding issue, if any.

Hope this helps! :)

I have oily skin and love the following:

Vichy Normaderm
-cleanser, toner and overnight moisturizer.
- not their daily one because it gets chunky under makeup.

Khiels
Oil Free Line
- moisturizer, toner
-this line is awesome for 'resetting' your skins oil production
Blue Herbal line
- cleanser only. I tried the toner but it made my skin pill. Like my groove pants...
Rare Earth Line
- Cleanser, toner, masque (LOVE!) moisturizer
- this line is awesome for oily skin as the natural clay absorbs the oil

I love khiels because if I use something and dont like it I can return in 30 days no questions asked and they overload me with samples everytime I go to the store to purchase or to just browse

Boo, I checked out the new BY sale markdowns too late and nothing is left in my size. Big thanks to Minda for recommending the June BY sale. I picked up 4 items then and used 3 of them on vacation. The big surprise was the cowl neck dolman top. Looks heavy online, but is actually lightweight rayon that drapes beautifully. Wore it everyday as coverup on my way to yoga class.

Kiehl's did nothing for me! tried the blue line etc. It was a waste. I also go for facials regularly every 4-6 weeks and this has done wonders.

@ 9:03 PM well cellulite is a fact of life for many women. I think a lot of women do not care. I live in a major city. I see women of all ages wearing shorty shorts or cut off jean shorts or short skirts and the cellulite is VERY bad...I would think be a little more discreet as cellulite is not attractive, but again, I think they do not care. To each their own, I guess. I'd be self conscious and I aim to present myself tastefully wherever I go.

One more thing. I had an interesting day today. I went to my store to return the 2 currant jackets I ordered online (ninja upload) because I did not care for the zipper. Everyone gasped as I pulled them out of the shopper. The eds wanted them. I had a 4 and a 6. They all wanted the 6. I shopped and went on with my business, I bought the catch me tank in power purple (very unexpected), Will pants on sale, discover crop in slub deep indigo, free to be bra in bruised berry and 3 swiftly headbands. I went back to the sale rack one more time just in case I missed something. There it was my size 4 currant scuba hanging like an odd duck surrounded by cycling gear, maxi's, etc. I saw they marked it down to 74 bucks! It then was my turn to gasp as I told the manager I want to buy it back. I can deal with it for $74. I'll give it to one of my kids for Xmas. They were all laughing at the situation. This is the store where I can return things with no receipt. They don't judge me... hope this keeps on after today.

Favorite item is an oldie, but goodie. The Run Energy Pullover in black. Boring, but you feel like a ninja and run faster when you're wearing it. No goofy color blocking, pleats, or ruffles. Just some subtle ruching (gathers) where the sleeve meets the body. Works great as an extra layer over yoga tanks too.

Re the WU - Wunder Unders - I'm with the few others here who think they make me "look fat." I'm a 4 on the bottom and can wear everything else Lulu-wise in terms of shorts and crops....I think it's the matte-ness of the luon in the WU that can make one appear "fatter" . The other day, a good friend of mine who doesn't know the brand, out and out commented to me that the tights made me look heavier than I actually am. (Thank goodness for good friends;I thanked her for her honesty.) I much prefer the luxtreme or the lighter-weight running crops - a lot cooler during the summer time. For me in Chicago weather, Wunder Unders are just way too hot!

The South Coast Store did have the new Scuba's in - no Portapottie but Caspian Blue - they were very pretty/soft and were cut larger than the ones that came out last year.

One item eek - Run For it Crops, Deep Breath Tank and a Dance Studio Jacket - but I have ever so many more favorites.

What is going on with the Power Y redesign? I love this tank but the new longer ones look terrible on me.

Another scuba update - I ordered the purple one and have been so excited all week. Sad day today. It is pretty stiff, with a 'worn' look to it - kind of like Abercrombie-faded. I wear a more tailored, polished look most of the time, so that bugs me. Also, it's lined in a very light purple, like the Pow Purple WU. Going back tomorrow with the Currant Energy Bra and WU crops. Those of you who bought Caspian...love it? Looks clean, lined in the same blue? Only pink spot is the one on the hood? Thanks!

I was just about to sell a Dance Studio Jacket (one of my duplicates) - all you lovers are making me rethink!

Favourite lulu items (can't just pick one!):
Jacket: Handsdown it's the Scuba, even though I live in the tropics and only get to wear them in movie theatres and during the rainy season. Favourite colors are Currant (first release) and Rocksteady wee stripe. My black Define gets a lot of use too. I always feel sharp when I wear it.
Tanks: A tie between the Deep V and Pure Balance tanks, flattering for me as I'm not "blessed" on top.
Top: Swiftly V-neck SS
Bottoms: WUCs and DSCs. My coal DSCs are a workhorse.

@ Pink Peony, is there any way I could convince/ beg beg beg you to sell me your size 4 ninja currant scuba? I'm the same person who's been commenting over and over about how sad I am to have missed out on the ninja ones w/ the bright red zipper. :o My fiancé even bought the recent batch as my bday/ wedding gift for me, but of course, we returned it as it was faded/ pokey metal zipper. I would be so insanely grateful... my email addy is through gmail, first part is devilotsd.

Simply amazed at how many different discussions the uterus top birthed. So funny! Thank you to all who told me how they organized their lulu items. For many of you, I think you have satellite lululemon showrooms. Me too. :)

@Yogibabe

THANK YOU so much for taking the time to measure out the exact dimensions of the scubas! And confirming that I'm not crazy ha! I am going to head to the store tomorrow to see if sizing down to a smaller size would make sense for me. And I think I will end up keeping the currant WUs too. Appreciate the help!!!

yogibabe said...

@anon 4:48 AM
You're welcome! But keep in mind the those measurements are of those Scubas that I own. I expect slight variations in measurements of all Scubas ever made, as that is common in clothing manufacturing. Just try out all your TTS and one size down that your store have in stock, and pick the best fitting one. I think it's worth the effort, as these batch are so very soft!!! :) (Advice from a Scuba maniac, well... "somewhat maniac". I know there are others who have more! I probably own about 20! Yikes!)

OT-lots of the bike capsule in WMTM! Just ordered the silver spoon CRB. :)

@Anon 10:01 - Bummer about the purple Scuba. That's the one I ordered (it won't get here until Tuesday) and I hadn't been seeing any feedback about it around here. Yours is the first review I've seen and you confirmed my fears that it's faded and therefore not what I'm looking for. Oh well. Just saved myself $108 with that return. After seeing some of the previous years' special edition Scubas I guess I can save up for one of those instead. Some of those designs were amazing.

I went to LLL to get yoga shorts but the gusset wasn't constructed in the right place. I had CT, as I've read so many others have experienced recently. This was so disappointing! In desperation, I went to Athleta and Lucy which were both within walking distance and I ended up with a pair from Lucy. They fit ok, but it turns out that they're not a great breathable short. I've just ordered my first pair of BY shorts online (electric blue), my fingers are crossed that I've found a decent short for yoga! Their sale drew me into tryng more of their product, the braided dress and the maxi skirt. Maybe LLL addictioni is slowly healing over?
