NEW! Pacesetter Skirt Colors

New Pacesetter skirts in Power Purple and a Caspian Blue Stripe. I believe both colors are also available in a tall version. The stripe is a 2-way stretch. Thanks to Tiffany for the photos.

WANT that Caspian strip in Speed Shorts! No, NEED! Fingers crossed...

It looks like power purple might be a big color in this next upload and if it is, my wallet is in trouble. Love this pacesetter and I am also hoping for a power purple ls swiftly, since there was a hint at one paired with the new Run Inspire crops.

OT but team USA men's beach volleyball team is wearing lulu shorts, tanks and hats! Wonder where these items were made!

I knew there was a reason I got the Caspian Swift Racer Back!

Anonymous said...

Sorry for OT... but has there been any word on the Pow Pink Defines bleeding? I managed to find one with beautiful stitching ( took looking through 3 stores worth of my size) but I won't keep it if they're bleeders. :)

Anonymous said...

I want a Power Purple CRB!!! Aren't we due for some more CRB colors? I'll chance bleeding issues for this one.

OT: The US Men's Beach Volleyball uniform is made by Lululemon! Hat, jersey and trunks. The shorts look like Run: Response Shorts. Jersey may be a version of the Light As Air Singlet. Pretty cool...

OOOHH ! I like the Caspian stripe skirt. Will be getting that one.

OT for Focus! I am re-posting Anon that was going to her store to try out a size down of her caspian blue Scuba. She posted it a few threads below this. But just in case you miss it, here it is, copy and pasted for you! :)

Hi Focus and Yogibabe!

I am the Anon that posted earlier about the Caspian Scuba seeming larger. I was able to make it to my store today and ended up getting a smaller size. I am normally a 6 in everything except I usually go up to an 8 in Scubas and Defines. I found in the Caspian Blue, a 6 worked perfectly and the 8 was just slightly too bulky for my preference. Not sure if it helps but I am fairly small but with a 34D chest. I came home and layered it with a cabin just to make sure it wasnt too tight, and the 6 is a perfect fit. Hope this helps! Yay Scuba!

Hope this will help you to decide which size to get. Cheers!

Hoping for an NLT in Power Purple. Such a pretty color! :)

@yogibabe: did you read my story about my Currant scuba return? Since you hailed me I thought I'd let you know. When I returned it and while I was shopping they marked it down to $74 so I grabbed it back and said I can live with the zipper for that price. I had a $34 discount! Crazy... Now I have 3 scubas all of a sudden. I just got my Pot and caspian today from the upload. Too lazy to try it on bec of the olympics.

Love the new skirts! This will be an expensive week for me!

Sourkraut said...

Ooh ooh! I dig the purple one but since I already own one Pacesetter I don't need another. Looks like it'll be a great color, though.

yogibabe said...

@Pink Peony 4
I saw that story and I thought that was crazy too! Maybe it's just that particular store that does the markdown on the currant Scuba, otherwise there will be plenty of unhappy campers with the currant Scubas who paid full price from the previous upload. The currant sold out in a couple of days! And I know that lulu stores has an individual "markdown agenda". No two stores' markdowns are exactly the same, similar but not the same. Sheesh! But lucky for you! :) Just be careful when at the ranch with it, make sure there are no bulls close by!

OT story...I once patted a bull on his head, without realizing that it is a bull! Being a city girl, I so wanted to see cows up close, and maybe touch one or two. So, my husband and father in law brought me to his ranch (in law's) that was rented out to a cattle owner for grazing. Got out of the truck and quickly zoomed on to a pretty "cow". Patted it's flank and head and was talking to it happily....until I heard my father in law telling me calmly, but firmly to get back to the truck and stay in the cab. I was like, okay if you say so, what a spoil sport...grumble, grumble. They came back to me and broke the news that it was a big bull that I've just patted, not a little cow! You know what they say about God protecting fools and children. I'm not a child, heehee! I saw a pretty "cow" and didn't look to check it's equipment before proceeding to fawn over it. Thought you might enjoy this story. :)

@sourkraut: I'm with you. I have a lot of pacesetter skirts. I used to play tennis but not lately. I love the purple too but I can live without another PS skirt. Good thing...

Anonymous said...

I think the skirts are an awesome choice if you play tennis. I pass on them for running. I'll stick to the Speed Shorts. Not into the skirts and the trend has been around for a while. I'll never say never though.

Anonymous said...

Cute story 3:41:) Sounds like.....something I would do!

In the wise words of Austin Power, that purple is.....GROOVY BABY!!!! :D

Anonymous said...

Hey yogubabe! Can you please explain why patting a bull is a no no? My fiancé has a farm and tons of animals and as a city girl myself, I'm still trying to figure out the do's and don'ts. Have you been told not to walk behind a horse and watch out for the roosters also lol?

@Minda

Your Silverwind Herbals site is marvelous. Let us know when you're in production again. I love handcrafted soaps. I spend way too much time on Etsy looking for interesting soaps to try.

@Anon 4:20PM
We'll have to get Pink Peony 4's take on this, as she is the "resident rancher" of our blog. :) I think that it's just a safety issue. Bulls do not like to be touch, played with etc., unles he is raised as a pet. Even a cow that is roaming the field, will move away from you, if you try to get too close to her. Bulls may attack, or get violent, I think? Territorial, perhaps? I'm not about to find out, though! I'm weird in a way that where aninmals are concerned, I honestly believe that they will not want to harm me, as I do nothing to harm them. But, why chance it, huh? :)

Anonymous said...

Maybe Lulu's quality has been so poor lately because they have been too busy make the men's volleyball uniforms....

yogibabe said...

@AZ Lulu Fan and Minda
Thanks AZ lulu Fan, for reminding me to check out Minda's Silverwind Herbals. It looks wonderful!

Minda, please let us know when it is up and running again. Would love to try some. :)

@yogibabe that sounds legit. Thanks girl!

OT: Anyone seen the dense purple scuba yet? I'm reading mixed reviews and I ordered online since none of the stores in WA recieved that color. 2 days later the item still hadn't shipped so I cancelled this morning and now it's almost 5 pm and I JUST now recieved a shipping confirm email... So apparently my order was NOT cancelled :/
Should I just not accept package? Is it faded and stuff as one reviewer mentioned?

Sandra said...

*stiff not stuff

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Want the Caspian Blue and Purple Pacesetters!!!

Anonymous said...

I hope they restock in black for the pace setter because really I just want my first pair to be plain black in tall. If I love it then maybe I'll try other colors. The strategic partner in my area don't carry the skirts.

MOrE COWBELL!!
- hi there!
Yogibabe and AZ Lulu Fan!

I put on the website fall- but I will have to change that to next summer.
In the mean time I'm so into Zum Bar goat's milk soap in patchouli - or the frankincense and myrrh. I'm digging the Indian Hemp and Vetiver lotion from nubian heritage too. When I make some body butters for myself it is usually my "Fey Queen"! Pine Needle Lavender and Clary Sage. favorite combo!

Anyway on a lulu note... I tried on the pace setter and it was too ruffly rear for me! Someone here mentioned they couldn't help but think that someone was running around looking for her lost tennis racquet every time they see someone in a pace setter jogging by! LOL love that visual. I wanted to be a racquet hunter too!! but, . I felt so EXPOSED! its a shortie!

I have to say you guys are too funny about the cow stories. We laugh when people call them collectively as cows. We definitely are more specific at the ranch ( steer, heifer, cow, bull, bull steer, bred heifer, etc). Anyway, bulls are generally aggressive. We only keep a few of them to breed the cows and heifers ( eventually). We recycle ( not kill but take to the auction) them often so no cross breeding. They are not really pets. No concept of the human contact. I bottle fed one once ( no cow would own him) and he was tame but it is a rarity. Anywho enough bull talk. Ha ha.

I feel weird wearing my pacesetters to work out in. Maybe because of my age. I like the ther skirts but I don't remember the names- only to yoga.

Anon 5:40 pm- I wish you did not need the tall coz I have an unworn with tags black ps skirt in reg. sorry.

I attempted to wash my clam diggers in deep indigo in honor of the olympics so I can wear with red and white whatevers while watching. LAZY! The clam smell is still there but faint. I wonder if anybody knows how many times/ washes it takes for it to go away?
I love the currant WU. The portapotie looks John Deere green to me --- with the yellow zipper pull? I will keep looking at it and see if I will eventually like it. I definitely don't want to blend with our farm implements. Lol. I know I dare not show it to my husband. I can already hear him.

OT question. i read the comment reviews on the ll site and am finding it interesting that none of the comments in response to negative reviews address the sheerness complaints. there are several reviews about poor seams and sheer pants (same reviewer)...then a response suggesting the reviewer bring the item in for 'assessment' as the seams should not be coming undone. but the pants should be sheer???

just seems so strange to me to address/respond to one concern and not the other.

Anonymous said...

OK, I washed my new Black Iconic Wrap (Vitasea). It smells fishy ! Could all of you who bought it check the smell of yours ?? Just wondering if it's smelling like that because I put it outside to dry. But I don't think so... it should not smell fishy.... :( It's back in the wash right now.

Anonymous said...

I received Heathered indigo diversity crops today. Totally sheer so going back. So disappointing because beautiful color. However, I don't like them as much as WU. Luon (old Luon) is hard to beat!

I do love the currant WU! Could possibly be a tad bit sheer for the bend over test, but I'm keeping them.

Also received Pow Pink turbos (love!!!!) and Caspian Scoop Me Up (also love !!!!). Now, I must have the Caspian scuba!

Yogibabe and the Anon- thank you so much for looking out for me and passing along this great info! I'm feeling much more confident in ordering a 6. Now I just have to hit "proceed to checkout":)

Oh my goodness I NEED that caspian stripe in WUs! Does anyone know if that will be happening, or if I'm just wishful thinking?

yogibabe said...

@Focus
Yay! Glad you saw the post. :)
Enjoyed mine this morning at the beach for my son's surf camp. I was brrr.... cold till about almost noon. This particular surf beach is always fogged in, in the summer months. Great waves but cold for the spectators. So, I have put my caspian to good use. :)

@ Pink Peony
Have you tried adding Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda to your wash. It takes the funky smell out of the workout wear and yogitoes towels I use for Hot Yoga. Might work on the clam diggers too.

Late post here......

@ Yogibabe,

LOL!!! Too funny.

@ Pink Peony 4

Great Buy! $74 for scuba. Too cool. LOL at the John Deere reference!

@ Minda,

That is my FAV SNL skit!!! More cowbell. Freaking hysterical. Love it. It's been awhile since I've thought of that skit. Thx for putting a HUGE smile on my face.

My order came from the last upload (live in Nebraska, it takes a while for it to get here) and here are my thoughts:

-caspian scoop tank: the color absolutely gorgeous and it fits perfectly but im a 32A bra size so I feel that it is more flattering on smaller chested ladies. It is the luon light but sooo soft! fave thing from my order!!

-currant WUCs: sheer when I bend over and I dont even have a "well-endowed" bootie. I even got a second opinion from my bestie and she agreed. I am really bummed about this because the color is beautiful and looks fabulous with the caspian top.

-black denim WU pants with the lilac band: thick, beautiful, soft, LOVE. they are a keeper!

-caspian and white no limit tanks: cute, but the caspian blue is more faded. not keepers for me.

ps- we are getting a store in Omaha and it opens on SATURDAY!!! eek!!yay!!

Anonymous said...

ps- read on the facebook page that the "brushed" WUs and denim WUs are less shear so keep an eye out for those!

Anonymous said...

ok pss (lol)- the denim WU pants are made in CANADA! hooray!

@AZ lulu fan. I'll try the arm and hammer. I use borax powder if I need to or oxyclean. Since you have tried this I will be going to the store and buying one. Thank you for this. You are sweet to respond.
@ yogibabe: my store did not have scubas yet so my return was a onesie hence the markdown. Bulls actually dont care about the colors. Just referring ti the Spanish toreros.

Lulu wear is my fave for working in my yard and garden (veg and flower). Can't beat the sweat wicking features esp here in TX. I love it for that reason. Sheerness does not really bother me so much since I always wear my longer tops with mu WU. Mine hadn't been that bad though.
Btw I love the soft feel of my new scubas. I'm just not sure about color of the portapotie. It is tts for me (4).

@ 9:28 PM...does Arm & Hammer Super Washing soda take the color out of anything you wash in it? I ask if you have noticed this because my Mom used to use it on my Dad's and brother's construction clothes (jeans, t's, l/s etc.) and while it did a great job of getting stuff clean, she noted that it took too much color out of the clothes over time. Kind of makes sense, it's soda. So I'm just wondering if it has been changed?

On a side note, I have bought Arm & Manner liquid enviro friendly type and I like it, no issues.

Anonymous said...

* Hammer! LOL at my typo.

Anonymous said...

@Pink Peony 4..... I got a pair of fishy clammies too. The smell wasn't overwhelming and it went away after the first wash. I did let them hang outside for 12 hours before I washed them though. Maybe the fresh air helped? It's worth a try.

Pink Peony 4 said...

I want to buy a WU crop in denim but I already bought the pants (jumped the gun). The denim will look good with western boots in the cooler weather months. I just really like the crops. Maybe because I'm short.

Anonymous said...

not sure if its true, but i read that if you hang clothes outside, the uv kills bacteria that causes stink. not sure but its worth a try and laundry hung outside always does smell lovely.

plain baking soda in the wash might help as well?

i must ask as well, why the smelly new clothing??? seems i missed something about items being shipped out and arriving smelly. i remember some issues with cigarette smoke but that was it.

Sandra said...

On the smell topic... Lately my 4 year old has been complaining about the smell in the Bellevue WA store... She has been saying, "mommy, what's that smell? It stinks in here!" I just chalked it up to them unpacking the new merchandise that probably was shipped in lots of plastic smelly bags...

shortie said...

if anyone fits in a size 2/4 in WU...the girls line IVIVVA sells the color in their crop (similar to our diversity crop w/ the unhemmed legs)... price is like $50

@ anon 10:28...it has to do with LLL clothes being treated with formaldehyde resin to prevent wrinkles...

I am in love with that caspian stripe! If it does come in a tall, it's mine!! Even if I have to buy it online & not get my instructor discount, which is saying a lot these days, as I'm trying to only buy things on MD or with my discount. I have quite a few pacesetters, and I've started only buying talls. I'm not THAT tall, but they just seem to fit me better. I do wear them for running and I even teach Turbo Kick and Zumba in them all the time. I love how wearing a skirt keeps me cooler, and I need all the help I can get as I'm a VERY hot natured, super-sweaty gal!

I've been in my store twice since last week's upload and the Currant Scubas are still selling for full price. Where is the store located that was offering a $34.00 discount for the metal zipper? Please let us know!!

My experience is the same as above poster. I'd like to know why we haven't heard about these discounts from more people or the lulu bloggers themselves? Where is the discounting lulu store?

Sourkraut said...

Re: Stores discounting random items -- I've occasionally seen items marked down in my store that are full price on the website. I've never mentioned it here because I assumed no one lives near my particular store but those random discounts do happen. It makes a little more sense now that I've seen Lulu's response to some Facebook posts saying that stores have the autonomy to make their own sales, which is nice when it works in your favor but annoying when an item in WMTM is out of stock in your size online but isn't marked down in your store. It seems that my store also marks things down when miscellaneous returns come in for items not stocked in the store.
