Upload!

No bruised berry Cool Racerback tonight but I ordered the Om pant. A pair of loose fitting pants made of swift appeals to me. I suspect they may be too long but it can't hurt to give them a try. What did you all order?

I got the Sun Sprinter shorts in bruised berry elevation stripe and Scoop Me Up tank in deep indigo. Taking a chance on both since I've never tried them on but usually a 6 on top and 8 on bottom. I'm not supposed to be spending money on Lululemon though shhh!

Two Scoop Me Up tanks-Pow Pink and Ray. Thinking of the Bruised Berry Free To Be, but I would prefer a tank in BB and none uploaded. :(

Anonymous said...

Where are the pow pink wunder unders?

I got the Transformation Wrap in deep indigo and the Hot But Not Tank in pop orange. Upset the pop pink WU weren't on there, I saw them in the store but figured I'd order them online. Will probably pick up. I'm dying for a pair of blue WU but I guess those are no longer avail. I was thinking of the Scoop Me Up in Pow Pink but I want to try it on first.
I have the Hot But Not Tank in black on the way to me ATM. I think it is just gorgeous.

Might get the Scoop Me Up Tank in Deep Indigo and Run: Fast & Free in black/metallic silver/coal.

Anonymous said...

Nothing for me, waiting for BB CRB. Kind of wanted the BB free to be but I find my free to bes (size 8) stretch out over time and are less supportive - but I've tried a 6 and it's def too small, cuts my boobs in half!

CRB XL in Metallic and Lilac and Deep Indigo Transformation Wrap that I've been DYING for all summer (although it's hot as heck)!! I'm a happy camper tonight :)

Anonymous said...

The Transformation Wrap disappeared from the site a couple days ago and here I was hoping for it to show up on WMTM... I guess not. :(

Anonymous said...

Where the heck is the BB CRB and why am I awake right now?!?!?

Anonymous said...

SO SAD! Why is the lift and separate not in B cups??? ERRR, frusitrating.

Anonymous said...

whoops...frustrating!! See, I am so damn frustrated I can't spell.

Anonymous said...

Same frustration here. I'm not sure if it's worth having them send me a C cup to try. It will probably annoy me more to get one and not have it fit.

Anonymous said...

Not a damn thing. Went in to our local store on saturday and was not impressed with the fabrics(scratchy) or overall design of the new stuff. What is going on with lulu? I actually walked over to Nordstroms and bought a Zella short sleeve hoodie and 2 tees all for 120 bucks. Great design and fabric.. This was a 1st for me. I have been addicted to lulu for a year but it seems the spell has been broken.

Hi ladies! OT a bit, but does any one know if the engineered mirage deep indigo bleeds? Thinking specifically about the Daily Tank.

Have a good day!

Tempted by the deep indigo WU but wondering if they are sheer...

Anonymous said...

@Anon1:50am - the deep indigo WU is not sheer for me but I've read around that it's different for everyone - some have reported that it's sheer for them.

Beth said...

Nothing for me! (I actually needed a week of no spending.) If they come out with a Scoop Me Up Tank in Pop Orange I think I'll have to buy that, but I'm not in love with any of the colors it comes in now and I don't really like the design of the Hot But Not tank, although it does look gorgeous in the Pop Orange.

Jek said...

Nothing for me... Tempted by indigo WU , but I have the crops so.... I'm on the fence about the scoop me up tank. - I don't love it. Guess I'll pass this week.
Like anon 12:43 I was really disappointed int the store when I went last week. The quality has slipped for sure. Boo :(

Wondering if the Run: Fast and Free Crops in White WAFS Print would show sweat... would anyone know?

Anonymous said...

Yeah, where are they pp wuc?? Do they not release some stuff online? I would have thought they be on tonight's upload for sure.

Jamie Barba said...

Nothing I couldn't live without this week (even though I like the Scoop Me Up in pink), but I did grab a menthol run wild SS on MD. Still thinking about the marathon skirt & shorty shorts, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Amy said...

Run fast WAFS, run swiftly BB, XL CRB in lilac and also in mirage! Expensive night. But I didn't buy anything last week! That makes it better right?

Kristin said...

Nada. I am tempted by the sun sprinter shorts and turbos. I may get the xl crb in lilac. I don't have one but have a ton of crbs. I'm kinda short so I'm not 100% sure on the length. I really don't want a dress, just a long tank. The silver and lilac ones look like luxtreme. Are they?? Thx.

Anonymous said...

I decided to give the black Om crops a try, they look super cute and comfy! I've been only buying WUC lately so i'm excited for something less restricting! I also got the XL CRB in lilac and also metallic silver. I would have liked a BB CRB, but I am so excited to get both of these that I'm no longer disappointed by it's absence from the upload. Nothing else really interests me, although i was close to purchasing the Hot but Not in pop orange. I decided i'd rather hold out for that define in case it becomes available online in the future!

Christina said...

@Kristin- I'm 5"3' on a good day, I have some XL CRB's. they aren't a dress on me, i'd say it comes down fully over my bum. compared to the lulu tops that are "low hip" which on me either stop right at my bum or show a tiny bit of bum. hope that helps?

Christina said...

to clarify, i meant that the low hip lulu tanks stop right at the base of my bum or show a tiny bit of the base of my bum

Annie G. said...

Does anyone know the composition of the XL CRB in Mirage? I want to know if its scratchy or not before ordering it.

Anonymous said...

@ Anon 2:54 AM, the WAFS white Fast & Free crops likely will show sweat. I have a pair of the speed shorts from this Spring in this pattern (stripes are vertical) and they do show sweat. Not dramatic like a coal or heather, but it does show. I don't care though as I am running outside and eventually am all sweaty and you can't tell. I think the WAFS white F & F look great and I am tempted to buy. I already have a pair and they are very comfortable and perform well. I only hold back as I have enough crops...

Anonymous said...

Nothing again,, where is the pow pink define i am soo bummed.

Anonymous said...

I love the Mirage CRB but in extra long it would be too long on me. Do you think they will make it in regular length eventually?
Would imagine it would bleed; I'd wash it with darks only and hope the white part does end up looking sullied, bled upon

Anonymous said...

oops, pardon: meant 'hope the white part does NOT end up sullied, bled upon'

Anonymous said...

I'm also curious as to why the Lift and Separate bra didn't come in B sizes? Is this normal?

Anonymous said...

@Anon 6:01am - thanks! I really like the WAFS and you're right it won't be as bad as the fossil.

Anonymous said...

I'd love some cute running shirts and turbos in mirage. Would looooove that.

Anonymous said...

Because A & B cups are too small as to need a lift or separation.

Anonymous said...

expensive morning for me - loving the mirage pattern! tempted to get hot but not tank but not sure I can pull it off. got the run sprinter shorts in the mirage/bb and also turbo to see what was a better fit. also got the crb in mirage. might have overdone it! i hope they come out with a bangbuster in this pattern.

Anonymous said...

a previous poster a few days ago mentioned that they got their BB in stride jacket and it fit a lot larger than their other ones. Well I just got mine in the mail (size 6) and it is also NOTABLY larger than my other in strides (even my april WAFS and flash light are quite smaller than this one... same size). I am very disappointed... debating sending it back but am pissed because I can't get another one as they sold out. What is the excuse that the same item sold two weeks apart will have such a huge size discrepancy?? I am going to call and complain about this.

Did anyone notice this with the heathered lilac in stride that came out the same time as the BB? I am tempted to send my BB one back and order a lilac one in the meantime, but am unsure what size to order now. Thanks for confusing me lulu, and we were getting along so well.

Anonymous said...

I just got my BB in stride yesterday and it's also quite a bit larger than my other ones. Not impressed.

Kara said...

Didn't get anything from the upload....but that is ok, I have spent WAY too much in the last month. Just got the blurred blossom wunder under crop from ebay for a good price ($50.99). I know it went straight to outlet for $49.99...so not bad! Super excited about that purchase; I have wanted one since they first came out and kept hesitating. Thinking of getting the silver or the lilac CRB XL to go with it.

Any one have thoughts on the fit of the Meditation pullover? Worth it?

Anonymous said...

This has got to stop: woke up at 12:30, and again at 1:30. Place my order. Then could NOT sleep well the rest of the night. I am a heavy, sleep-through-the-night kind of girl! This insomnia Monday thing has got to go. I was late for work today due to a Lululemon upload??? That would be a great reason to give my boss. Geez.
Anywho, I got the Sun Sprinter shorts and my second Tie and Fly tank (I heart mesh for summer!). I also got the Meditation pullover from MD, denim WU pants (my first pair - I'm excited!), and I decided to try out the racing length CRB to wear with skirts.
All in all I'm excited about my purchases. However, next Monday I am taking a Tylenol PM and leaving my phone in another room. If it can't wait until 6am, then I'm nit buying it. Seriously. I need to get a life. And thanks to LLA for giving me a place to share this confession! Only other addicts would understand. :D

Reply to Anon 7:49 AM:
I get it! I don't sleep well anyways, but consistently on Monday nights/Tuesday mornings around 1am I wake up, check the upload, order, and then go back to bed. It is a sick obsession! LOL Thank god I did not order anything last night. I am so tapped out right now. I ordered a ton of stuff in June and I have to stop!

Anonymous said...

Luckily I live on the west coast so the upload is around 11 p.m. so I can just stay up a little late to check it out lol. But usually most items are still there 6 a.m. the next morning (with the exception of those bruised berry/elevation stripe turbos today).

I refuse to buy any more crops until quality issues are fixed! I noticed the replies to online complaints about color transfer have switched from "Well these items need extra care and washed alone blah blah blah" to "that definitely should not be happening let's come to a resolution". Is Lululemon finally realizing the extent of quality issues?

I wish there was a Scoopneck tank in pop orange or the mirage print (or any new color really... pow pink?) but I ordered the Scoop Me Up tank so I'll see how that does. I don't like the pleats around the boob area or the thin straps but the back is cute. Also I wish it was $52 and not $58. Annoying.

sophia said...

nada. but i do check the page in the middle of the night (east coast). Though I can't entirely blame lulu...i don't ever sleep all the way through the night without waking up. the difference is, i USED to just roll over and go back to sleep. instead, i now grab my iphone from the nightstand, click refresh on the "what's new page" and THEN go back to sleep. it happened at 3:20 this morning (:

OT- just got my Concord Grape Studio Crops in the mail yesterday! LOVE!!! i missed them the first time around, and compulsively checked the page to see if they would ever be restocked in my size...then last week, i refreshed and THERE THEY WERE - A SIZE 6! bought those in a heartbeat, and then noticed they were sold out right after i checked out...must have been just one pair on return or something. guess they were meant to be mine! wearing them cinched at the calf with the seaside dot white fossil crb and a pair of flippies. wasn't sure if i was going to keep the SDWF CRB, but when i put it on today i decided i was in love with that, too. i don't mind the polyester crbs...they're not as soft as the nylons ones, but i think they tend to feel cooler and dry faster, so it's a win for me.

i just noticed the sun sprinter shorts don't have the zip pocket at the lower back (though the do have one on the leg). wonder why that is?

Kristin said...

@ Christina
Thx for your help! I'm 5'4.5 (gotta get that half inch in there, it counts!). It sounds like a perfect length. Now, which color? Probably go w lilac one. But I do like the silver one too. I have heard some folks say that it reminds them of heathered pigeon (I think that's the shade) from last year. I wasn't a fan of that shade, too much beige not gray enough for my taste.

I would like to hear a fit review on the sun sprinter shorts! They look like fun and they are $2 cheaper than turbos! So, anyone that gets em/ tries them on, please let us know what ya think!

Anonymous said...

@Kristin: don't know if u read the description but there's no liner for the sun sprinter shorts. Initially it caught my eye but when I saw the liner wasn't included, I went for the turbo instead.

Anonymous said...

Anon 7:24 am - I am the one who wrote about the BB In Stride. I tried on several in the store when I went to return the one I ordered online and they were all bigger. I also ordered the heathered lilac and I returned that as well because it smelled horrible. Apparently they are having an issue with clothes coming from the online store having a smell. The GEC told me to air it out for 24 hours and that should help. When I returned it to the store, the girls who worked there said they had other people return stuff that they ordered online because it smelled. How disappointing!

Anonymous said...

I want both of those too (marathon skirt and shorty shorts) but they're sold out except in size 2 on the Canadian side! So annoying we have no way to access the US inventory. I'd be willing to pay shipping.

Anonymous said...

OT- I went to return a CRB I bought two weeks ago in the new upload. On the website, it says you have two weeks from when you receive your items to return. The girl behind the counter told me I wrong, it was two weeks from the order date and I was one day too late. I told her that it was on the website as two weeks from receiving, (think of people who live on the east coast, who wait a week for their shipment, I told her.) Finally, she looks it up and sees that I am right, but she grumbles at me that "the rule seems kind of arbitrary" and that she didn't agree with it. Yea...not my rule. I didn't make it up! She begrudgingly returned my item, but made sure she told me she was doing it "special" for me.

I'm feeling a little put off right now. Guess I'll have to make the effort to drive to the other shop from now on.

sophia said...

anon 10:11am: i LOVE the marathon skirt. what size do you need? i think they still have them at my store on MD (i'll be going there tom or thursday) or i'd be happy to order one online for you and send it.

What is "OT?"

Sorry - I am on the west coast and did not sleep until midnight. It's a monday night ritual - and yes, I feel comfortable admitting it here because I don't feel like I have a serious problem. LOL

I purchased the Scoop me up tank in Pow Pink and the Transformation wrap in Deep Indigo. I did purchase this several months ago in my true size 4, but it ran SO LARGE, so I ordered a size 2, this time. I figured it would look good with skinny jeans and some Frye boots. :)

Count me in as one who's sad the Lift & Separate bra doesn't come in a B cup. I was looking forward to that bra since it was first shown on this blog for days when I feel I need a little extra support. As someone who's probably between a B and C cup I might try the C on in a store but I sure as heck won't order it since there's a big chance it'll have to go back. For the record, I'm sure many of us with B cups (and maybe even A's) would argue that we could also use some lifting and separating. It's not as if we have *nothing* there. Small-chested girls unite!

Nada for me. I'm tempted by the bruised berry Free to Be bra but will hold out for a color I absolutely love. Ditto for the Hot But Not tank and the Scoop Me Up. I'm starting to think I won't feel the need to rush out and buy anything until fall, assuming they come out with some darker, seasonally-appropriate colors then. Then again, it could simply be that I'm reluctant to spend money since I just got back from vacation and am afraid to look at my credit card bill. I'm sure I'll be back to actively monitoring the latest uploads within a few weeks.

For the last year, I have been spending between $250-500 PER WEEK on Lulu stuff (I know, I'm very lucky to be able to do that). However, in the last month, I have not spent a penny. Their quality has become so poor and their sizing so inconsistent that I find it very easy not to buy. Some examples.

1. DSC - there are little plastic wires poking through the top of the elastic waist band. I complained to the GEC at the store and they gave me another pair and the new pair is doing the same thing.

2. Pack Your Practice Bag - so cute but the detachable zipper opens by itself. I have to keep zipping it to keep in on the bag. Again, I complained to the GEC at the store and they gave me a new bag, and again, it's doing the same thing.

3. WU crops - the new triangle gusset gives me CT, despite sizing up or down. And they are sheer... I could READ the size on the tear out tag.

Luckily, I have enough work out clothes from the last year of buying to last me until Lulu gets their act together. Sleeping through the Monday nights now easily... and waking up refresshed.

Jekk said...

@ Kara - I love my meditation pullover. I got one in white the other day at the store. It was $52. I've been wearing it ever since. I know it's just a sweatshirt but it's a really really nice sweatshirt. It feels luxurious. The material is so nice. I'm debating getting another one while they're marked down and available. I got my true to size 6. It fits perfectly, a little bit loose, just enough to be casual.

I didn't order a thing. I did notice the new Turbo shorts and was interested when I logged into the LLL website early this morning, but they were gone when I came back later. Oh well.

Hey anon 11:41: I am 5'6 and I run in XL CRBs all the time. They are quite long especially with speed shorts, but I like never havin to pull them down. I'm longer in the torso and har pretty short legs though so they don't cover my butt or anything!

Hi Yogibabe and MonkeyGirl!!
The Currant Scuba Cartel GROWS!!!
- right now is not a great time to be in Florida with all the storming!! Rain Rain go away!

- crossing fingers hoping for early delivery - though I doubt it because flights into parts of Florida were cancelled yesterday.
Rain, gusting wind - flooding - power outage. . . Doesn't Tropical Storm Debby CARE that I need Fed Ex to get through? LOL Anyway I can't wear the thing until the fall. . but it really IS a lovely color! My sister saw me wearing my black one last christmas holiday, and she was immediately questioning me on what brand is that- and complimenting the weight and feel of the fabric. Maybe if she is a SUPER NICE little sister this year I will get her one!

Anonymous said...

@sb 10:46:

like you, I've spent around$200-$550.00 per week on Lulu for many months now. However, I have been so frustrated by the quality, too.

I have had to take two pairs of run inspires in to be re-sticthed after wearing each one 3 times (and they're not too small!).

I have had snagging issues with a manifesto (I know they're delicate, but ones I bought two years ago still wash perfectly) I bought (they damaged it out, gave me a new one, and damaged that one out), and snagging with swiftlys, and items arriving with fuzzy seams.

I've received items with copious loose threads on items, and a pair of deep indigo WUs arrived with the stitching coming undone around the bottom of the crop.

My run inspires are sheer, and the new triangle gusset on the WUs gives me CT. Then there's the sheerness problem where I can also read the hang tag perfectly through the fabric.

I ordered the presto vest, and that arrived with a broken zipper.

Bleeding issues don't bother me as much since the dye does come out in the wash, and I've bought other brands that have dye issues (though that's rare).

Finally, in spite of using white vinegar when I wash new black items, they come out of the first wash (I always wash cold, and hang to dry) looking like they're five years old. I have old LLL crops that look the same as these new items after one wash.

Then, like a lot of other people, I am mad at myself for feeling the need to wake up at 11 (I'm on the West Coast) for the upload. I've got problems.

Sorry for venting everyone. I just had to get that out:-(

I know it's been said before, but TRY ZELLA! I got a Ta-Ta Tamer knockoff for $38 (front with two straps, back with one) and it fits better than an TTT I ever tried on. Got their version of Define for $88, WU crops with no CT for $44 and the Clam Diggers for $44 also. not as many colors avail for the bottoms, but if you're buying black, might as well save a few bucks.

Also, if anythign goes wrong in washing, wearing, etc...it's NORDSTROM and they will always return with a smile...even a month or two later!

Anonymous said...

Were there mirage turbo shorts uploaded or just the elevation stripe?

Nothing online for me again, but I went into one of my local stores today to check on the diamond gusset leftover selection, which seemed to amuse the educators greatly.

They must have been clearing out old stock because I found a lone pair of Paris Pink WU crops (yes! They were marked PAPP and had a little added decal on instructions for Paris Pink washing) ultraviolet WU crops, and some long reversible WU with the quilted light purple/fossil/black waistband, all with the diamond gusset.

I also picked up a ls mantra top in black because I love my pink one. It's super soft and comfortable. Added to that an extra rehearsal top. I have three already but I wear them so often it's almost a uniform for me.

I've really been noticing the difference with the triangle gusset and I've mentioned it to every educator I've come across, including today when I asked if it was okay to stack all the WUs and WU crops in my size on the folding table and check the gussets. She was totally okay with this BTW, and quite nice about it. Maybe they thought I was crazy, but this was the store in the city with what I consider the "nice" staff and who accept wear uses like "non competitive lounging" with a laugh rather than a sneer.

I do usually wear a long tank over bottoms, so CT, if it were to appear, wouldn't be visible, but like others have said, I do feel myself adjusting on bottoms with the triange when I never had to do so before. The main culprits for me have been the diversity crops, which I love in every other way.

Sorry for the essay but that was the story of my finds today. I still can't believe the Paris Pink. I wonder what corner that pair had been hidden in? For an added bonus, the long WUs were on sale, which hardly ever happens. For a city with several stores, you think you'd find a bargain here and there, but sale racks seem to be a missing part of the equation.

anonymous me said...

Just to add, maybe I'm wrong, but IMO the Paris Pink WU crops were definitely NOT Pow Pink. The coding and colour were visibly different from the Pow tanks in stock, they had the old style gusset, and I doubt they would bother slapping a Paris Pink wash instruction label on a random pair of new stock. I suppose you never know though. Sometimes those Lulu PTB can be crafty.

It really is worth checking out the Zella line at Nordstrom. I bought a Zella run skirt a few months ago. I've worn it frequently, but I haven't had to baby it at all. I've washed it with regular old loads of my kids' laundry, and it still looks perfect.

groovegirl said...

I picked up the Run for Your $$$ tank in Bruised Berry this morning. Kinda regretting the purchase because goodness that's a crazy amount to pay for a workout top IMO. I liked it when I tried it on at my local store, but may end up returning it for more store credit that I've been accumulating since January - yikes.

Was contemplating the Scoop Me Up tank, but realized it would show too much skin/cleavage for working out. I spend a lot of time in the weight room area and really wouldn't feel comfortable sporting this top among all the sweaty dudes.

Just the Elevation Stripe Turbos were uploaded. Ooh, didn't know there were Mirage Turbos in the pipeline.

Anonymous said...

@anon 1.11- I hear you on that one. It's a bad break up because I too really cared about the ethos and the brand being different.

I've given up on Lulu tops and honestly, I'd rather spend my earnings on well made Merino wool tops eg Icebreaker that perform, wick and keep me cool in Summer, warm in winter.

And now the crops quality is declining pretty rapidly.

I'm away from a store so care more about what real people are saying out there than what the brand announces.

Ot/off topic: interesting that none of the current us/can reviews are linked to the Aussie Lulu site since it launched. Techy problem or a decision?

Anonymous said...

I also won't buy anymore crops until Lulu fixes their CT design.

Anonymous said...

I have the "little wire" problem with Play in the Sun shorts. Sup with that?

Anonymous said...

I have a ton of Lulu and other brands. I like WU and beyond yoga crops, but no crop for me works magic like the zella live in capris. I probably own 10 pairs in black, one in gray, and one in navy. I beat them up, wash them, and they are fantastic. They have a black pair now that reverses to lilac. I like them, but I thought they were a bit thick for the hot weather. Just stick with the one color ones. I am a 6 in lulu bottoms and take a small in zella. I still think when LLL tops hold up, they are the best, but I am totally in love with Zella bottoms!

Speaking of Play in the Sun shorts- let me tell you this story.. Ordered a pair of black ones back in May, received them, Loved them, tried them on, and had my heart break. The shorts were every thing I had hoped for in a casual, cuffed, swift short, except for one thing, the right side pocket was 2x the size of the left. Long story short, GEC center, QA, pictures, correspondence, measuring tape..."take them back to your store" (had ordered them online as my store never got them).
Didn't return them, tried to think of a way to justify keeping them...I'm telling you this was love! Saw them pop up online again, ordered again (as a comparison), not as bad, but 2 super large pockets, that needed to be tucked to lay flat. Well today was the day, after 2 months of deliberation my beloved shorts went back. No argument could be made by my educators because it was so brutally apparent. I'm so sad, wishing for another casual swift short.

As a replacement I got some pow pink WU crops, they have a tag that says reversible, but the stitching between the black and pink (bottom of the waist band) is so horrendous that it is virtually impossible. Maybe they are banking on us wearing xL crbs to cover our CT's, then no one would ever see our sloppy waistband.

Sorry for the rant!

Well, blow me down. I had balked at the new scoop tank (not that I adored the old one, but as a 36C girl it was one of the few Lulu tops I could wear). I tried it on tonight and I was surprised to like it. I got my usual size 8. I felt a slight front underarm pull that could be a concern, but no flab-over in front or back, and I didn't feel neck pull (of course, that can take a few hours to be irritating).

I didn't buy it today because I would love it in bruised berry, and surely black will be there later if I want it. But I think I would definitely like one.

I really thought it was going to hit my boobs funny, or smush them. It did make me look a bit smaller, but that's OK. It actually seemed to feel a bit better than the scoop. But less supportive, for sure. Oh, I also loved the length. Hit me mid-butt. Sweet! What a nice surprise.

I resisted for now. I was hoping the store would have a bruised berry CRB, but no luck.

The short CRBs were crazy short. They won't work for my 5'4" frame (I realize I'm also sort of short, but I like long tops).

I tried the scoop me up tank today, too, and I was surprised that I loved it. I bought the pow pink, bc I like the different colored straps in the back. I did the water, then wipe with w towel test, and no dye came off. Keeping my fingers crossed! Dare I say it, but I think I like it better than my scoop necks!

I went to two stores, and no bruised berry crb:-(

@ Anon 10:18 AM that is not cool you got a hassle and attitude at the store regarding the return time frame of your on-line order. I think you should tip the GEC that that location needs to be reminded of the time frame/policy.
I guess the attitude is because on on-line return to a store goes against the store sales etc. (as I've read here), but too bad for the store. Why can't they just be cool?

Am I the only one that prefers the new gusset? The diamond one was always way too far back on me and the tapered front of the gusset pulled on the front seam in a way that I *always* got CT. The new one is still strangely far back, but at least it starts out "flat" across the front so the seam isn't pulling into a CT.

It stinks for the B&M stores that online orders returned in-store count against that store's sales, but I don't understand why they think copping an attitude is the way to fix it. If the store is rude to me when I return an online order, it's just going to push me to order online more and buy less in the store. And it's not going to reduce my returns, because I paid upwards of $50 for an item and it didn't work--I'm not such a wimp that I'm going to let a "b-" salesperson stop me from returning it and getting my money back. Result: I'll order everything online, giving the local store none of my sales $, and make all of my returns there. It's the worst possible outcome for them. Why wouldn't they, oh I don't know, consider being friendly and try (in a non-pushy way) to help me find something that does work?

For those having trouble with plastic pop-through on the waistband of DSCs, is it certain colors that are showing the problem? I have just gone nuts buying them and am worried that I'll have a big pile of useless clothing. Some are still in the return window, so I can return if it's one or 2 colors that are the problem.

I bought black, grey, purple, porcelain and beige/lined.

Thanks!

I had issues with returning online orders at a store due to the time difference from when I got the order and when I placed the order. I had printed off the notification of delivery from fedex to prove when it was delivered and was able to return the item- but then they wanted to just give me store credit. I finally convinced them I was due a regular credit return, but it was a whole huge thing.

I rarely do returns, but when I do it's never pleasant and easy.

Anon 7:07 pm - I totally agree with you. I got attitude one time with an online return (most of the LL reps have been nice to me) but I don't do it to spite them. It's just that the stores don't release the new items as fast as the online store and I don't know what item to wait on to purchase. I visit my local stores Monday night after work to see if anything new is out. Before they used to have very little or nothing new out but now they're way better about putting out new items ASAP. I understand the B&M store have difficulty putting out all the new items at once and I try to limit my online purchases to items I really really want so I don't have to return online items. But in the end, the main LL company puts us purchasers in a bind too, not just their own B&M stores. It's either buy quickly or regret not being fast enough.

I have three pairs of DSC - dark grey, indigo and white. So far I've only had a problem with the white pair. Sharp plastic pieces were poking through the waistband. I had worn them twice. It was well after the return window but that does not matter as the failure is a manufacturing defect. They gave me a replacement pair. No questions and no hassles. It was fortunate they had my size in the store as it was sold out online. So I wouldn't worry too much. LLL seems to be standing behind their problem products and recognizing there are manufacturing defects in some of these pants.

On another note to echo earlier comments, I bought a Ray coloured Bound bra and one of the staff warned me that it bleeds. It is recommended to wash before wearing and use 1/4 cup vinegar. She also reassured me that I could return it if I had any problems. I said to her that they should not be selling defective products (and thought to myself "and you should not be paying such high prices for known defective products"). In all lilelihood I will return the bra. Maybe.

Types of laundry washing in my home. Type one whites. Type two colors. Type three workout gear whites. Type four workout gear colors. Newly added, Type five flashes and pinks. I already think this is ridiculous. Should just be one and two.

Thanks so much! I will start checking.

Minda-so thankful someone else has as many laundry loads as I do. I also do single item loads specifically for my Lulu...ridiculous!

@Minda & Focus - I'm happy to hear I'm not alone in the multiple laundry loads. I have 2 loads just for LLL items.

Does anyone know if the white slub and fossil white slub denim WUs are noticeably different? I have the white and just caved in and ordered the fossil...Thanks!!

Yes, I too wash Lulu solo. Handwash cycle on cold hang/lay flat to dry.

I ended up getting a Hot But Not Tank tonight in store. I can't believe it but I really like it. I ended up sizing up and think it's going to be perfect for Yoga/Barre this summer.

Want the OM pants but they didn't have em yet.

My dune DSC have the prickly plastic. Bummer. I really liked the color and the feel of the liner. I need to carefully inspect the others (NWT). Purple felt fine -- knock on wood.

I don't understand everyone's fuss over the different gusset shapes. I'm 5"3, 105 lbs and probably have a few thousand dollars worth of Lulu because I'm training for a marathon. Have pants/crops in pretty much every gusset shape and none of them give me CT.

I'm wondering if it's people with larger body types that are having issues?

Anonymous said...

I'm a large girl and I don't have CT issues with the triangular gusset nor the old gusset shapes. So no, people with larger body types are not at fault here.

Sophia if you do check this site again - I am interested - I could give you my email address : )

I'm 5'5 113lbs and have an issue w the new gussets. In my case, I've found that they are sewn too far back in the crotch area of the crops and shorts I've ordered. So, the seam cuts right up the middle creating the dreaded camel toe. You could actually see the gusset from behind w/o bending over! Completely useless! I don't need a gusset for my rear end! So frustrating bc I had to send back my BB groove shorts! So sad but not spending $50+ on CT.

Anonymous said...

Just because you have a fuller figure doesn't mean your "kumquat" has a life of it's own and produces a camel toe. That is just tacky. It is not biased between the different sizes of women. Sheesh.

I wash each colored Lulu piece separately. CRAZY !

Okay Lulumon- just canceled a $260 order because one of my items was no longer in stock after placing it in my cart 3 minutes prior! Bite me, I had an entire outfit planned around that shirt so you can keep it all!
Really, you should consider reserving stuff for at least 10 minutes after it is put in a cart!

Anon @ 7.59am, the collective amount of commentary points to the idea that it's not a "larger girl" problem, it's a design flaw. I'm not a larger girl at all, and I still notice the difference on certain bottoms (primarily WUs).

Sure, it's not going to affect everyone equally because not everyone's body is shaped the same way, but has there ever been such an uproar over possible misplacement of the diamond gusset or mass reports of CT on diamond gusset items? No. The style seemed to work on most everyone, so why the change? It makes no sense. You don't fix what isn't broken.

maybe it takes less time for a machine to create a triangle cut rather than a diamond or oval cut - also uses less fabric. less fabric - less time - more output - oh and why not increase all the prices . . .
