Run: Nothing to Hide and Other Photos

I was hoping to see the new Run Nothin' to Hide jacket at my store yesterday but it wasn't there yet. I am trying to think of under what circumstances I would ever use a jacket like this. If I was putting on a jacket it would be because I was chilled but the large mesh panels in this jacket negate that. It only has a couple of side pocket and no ipod cord tunnel that I can see so I wouldn't wear it for the storage capability. If I am paying $118 for a run jacket I want an ipod cord tunnel and a back zipper pocket, too. I have a lightweight windbreaker called the Stow N Go I go years ago for $29 and I don't see any reason to upgrade it with this new jacket. It is very cute, though.

I forgot to write that I saw the new visor at the store yesterday but only the white one. It's very nice but I think I would get the black.

Sun Runner SS in action. Based on the fit of the sleeves/bust, I'd guess she sized down.

Diversity Wunder  Unders in the Blush Quartz High Noon Dot print

Deep Indigo Wunder Unders. This photo showed up in one of my product notices. They weren't at my store yesterday. I really like them but not sure if every store will be getting them. They seem to be spotted in random places.

Which store was it that had the indigo WU in their PN?

Does someone know if we're going to get a new skirt soon? Thanks guys!!

I like the deep indigo, but glad I opted for the bruised berry polocrosses. It's a nice color, but too close to black, at least in ght photo.

I agree with you on the jacket. It doesn't look like it provides much protection other than to cover your arms.

I must have those deep indigo WUs. I HOPE they happen to show up on the next upload. I doubt it though. A girl can dream, right?

The run hide jacket is exactly like the run wild jacket!

I'd use the jacket in windy or damp (but not wet) conditions, over something like a tank where I might want more flexibility than a ls for changing weather. For temps in the 50s I want venting, but my arms and core get chilled in wind. Actually, southern Cali has the perfect weather for something like this. Early mornings can be cool, and on a trail run into the mountains, you never know what the weather might be at 5000 ft.

That said, the boat has sailed on this jacket. Most places in the US and Canada are too warm now, and I bet anyone who wanted one got it on markdown. I wasn't tempted even at $78 because there are more functional options on MD elsewhere for even less.

Anon 11:47AM - That's exactly what I thought when I saw the Run Hide Jacket.

Got the Run Wild Jacket when it was discounted online (flash & grape)so no need to get the Run Hide Jacket. Besides the Run Wild Jacket is so much cuter.

Wore the Run Wild Jacket while running early a.m. (SD, CA) several weeks ago. Was drizzly that morning so this jacket was perfect

The Run Hide jacket is pointless -- conditions that you would wear that jacket in are the conditions I don my armwarmers. They were made for this exact situation, and they're removable and stowable!

The pack your practice bag seems to have disappeared. Sold out already?? I never saw it in any store product alerts in my area, either (Berkeley, Walnut Creek, San Francisco)

Yes, what store had the indigo wu in their pn? And did they actually have them? Pn's from irvine and south coast said they had the rehearsal ls in quiet stripe, but neither did when I called :(

I'd wear the jacket as a shell layer in wet conditions...it's easy to overheat in a jacket so it has good venting while still being water and wind resistant in the arms/shoulders/core. What to wear under varies depending on the temp...but I'm not counting on the jacket to provide insulation, just a "shell" of protection. That said, not for $118. I have $40 Eddie Bauer windbreaker. If it hits loot, I'd think about the white one...it's so cute.

Picked up the deep indigo crops in Toronto yesterday, at the Vaughan Mills location. They already had limited sizes.

I have the jacket from last year that is similar to this one. I use it after a sweaty work out for my ride home if I ride my moped or bike. It's just the right amount of coverage. I'm hot and sweaty and so I don't want something heavier, but would get cold without it because of the "wind" and being all sweaty and what not.

I sooo want the deep indigo wu crops. I've been hoping lulu would make them!!! Anyone know if they are in la?

@Ashley: San Francisco Union Square has both colors of the practice bag. I just came form the store. They have some good MDs, but they're going fast-the store was packed.

They also told me that next week they'd be getting flash light WUs, but there was nothing on their board regarding pow pink or indigo WUs at all.

I am waiting for my Power Purple WUs to arrive, but I'm already worried that they are going to be too light in color for me. Wish lulu would upload some indigo and bruised berry WU next week! For some reason the polocross crops just don't appeal to me, but I love that darker purple color! Fun, yet not quite so "look at me! Look at me!" as Ray or Flash Light WU.

I received my online order today so thought I would review for others:

Tie & Fly Tank - got in a 6 and an 8 in flash light. I am usually a 6 but didn't want it to get hung up on my hips. I love and don't love this top. I love my Silver Bullet Tanks so much - the coolest tanks I can find for running (I run very hot) - and I thought this would be like them but better, because the neck would be higher (I find the neck on SL tank unflattering). The neck is higher, but the sizes seem weird to me. 6 is too tight at the top, my chest and upper tummy area - not that it looks so bad, but more what I love about the silverescent is a super lightweight loose fitting tank. The material touching / pressing on my skin makes me feel hotter, rather than just barely skimming my skin. The 8 though, is soooo long and sloppy big. I suppose I could get it hemmed but then I would lose cinching ability (which would be OK) but then it would still be kind of sloppy big. As others said, when you cinch, the mesh part at the back kind of bunches up, it doesn't seem as flexible as silverescent. Also, this top is quite see-thru - I wore over the flash light Free to Be bra and you could def. see it at the front, much more than it shows on the web photos. I think it will probably go back - but I do love the silverescent and the neckline.

Flash Light CRB - I also want to love this. It is soooooooo soft (maybe they just washed the flash a million times until it stopped bleeding and that's how they got this top?) but in the 6 it kind of shows my tummy. The 8 doesn't seem much looser on the tummy - but is too loose on the top (straps too long) and on the bottom...I find this about CRB's, I don't seem to love them as much as everyone else. I am always between a 6 and an 8, usually pick a 6 but this one is more sheer so I'm not sure. I find the straps too long and it makes the cut too low - I would love it if they were cut like 1 or 2 cm higher.

Hope that helps someone...

If they took the Sun Sprinter S/S and put the mesh under the arms and then down the side, instead of on the back, then that would be a win for me because I prefer the length over the shorter Sun Runner.

I actually like the run hide jacket - the other one was too fussy with all those pleats- it gave the impression of nicely draped garbage bag. - but I did like the idea of it. This version is cleaner and more streamlined. Sometimes its nice to just have a little something covering the body! LOL I dig !

I got the indigo WU's at Market Mall in Calgary

Minda 5:01. Completely agree with what you've said about the two jackets and the differences. Run Wild I was not at all interested in. Run Hide is an improvement and I would buy it. Just not yet.
Where I live we get all seasons and I run in all seasons; it would have its place.

OT- @ Minda...Thank you so much for the Walmart tip the other day. I just picked up a neon yellow seamless tank (I think it's different than the one you mentioned) for $12. It's cute, and looks a lot like the Ray Swiftly tank that I bought this week. Yes, the fabric is different but you can't beat that price. Looks like the Swiftly is going back....

Minda said...

Hi! yay! Anon 9:07 I'm glad you found the tanks! Danskin has been around forever- the material isn't clingy and I like that TRUE Lemon-Lime, not so much the hi-liter. For the price hey, you can't beat it for a trend right?! I won't feel bad trashing it or rain running either- Lots of visibility too. I wonder which one you found! They had them in SS shirts as well as tank tops. maybe prices are varied? i'm in Florida.

--Anon 8:46, I'm with you on the not just yet part! For the jacket to transcend from trendy flashwear to functional trendy coolness, it would have to have a little back pocket for running! Right now I'm using the Nike Cyclone Vapor. It has it. Those little dots all over the jacket aren't just understated cuteness - they are little soft bumps inside that keep the material from sticking to you. I ran a half marathon in April in it through crazy wind and torrential downpours LOL. I like the body shape and neckline of the Run Hide jacket but, since it doesn't DO what I really want it to I would probably only get it from a massive mark down in price.

- On another topic that tennis player photo is so cute in the light colored visor!!! I'm not a visor person but I think she just sold me on it! I know the black one would be more functional when it comes to keeping it pretty looking, -but the light color pops out with dark hair and shows off that CAY-UUTE bow!

I can't wear the Swiftly Racerback as lulu does not make it in a size 2 (why? missed out on the Every Yogi tanks because of that too! grrr!) But I got a GapFit Motion seamless racerback tank:
http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=68453&vid=1&pid=504744
in phosphorus. Maybe more yellow that Ray but pretty! The fabric is slightly thicker than Swifly but it's quite awesome. XS fits fine on me. Got one in neon orange light too, as I missed out on the dazzling. Price is not as cheap as the ones that you guys bought but I also received a 30% coupon that I get to use! Yay! P/S: This weekend it's 25% off-code is GAPFUN.

Hi it's Anon 8:46.

Minda thanks for the info on they Nike Cyclone Vaopor and way to go running a half in torrential downpour!! I'm set for jackets so any new run jacket including the Run Nothin to Hide is a "nice to have" and I'm good at controlling myself. If it makes it to wmtm, great! If not, I'll live and of course there will be some new LLL jacket just around the corner.

Lulu hasn't done a tennis segment have they? The picture of the girl is so good that it's every reason that they should! (I don't even play tennis).

I also saw the Indigo WU crops at 2stores in Calgary yesterday. Looked like all sizes were available.

Strangely enough, one also had several pair of ultraviolet, 1 of which was in my size. Maybe there was a stack hidden in a corner in the backroom? I seriously contemplated them, but decided against it as I have a lot of colours already and am holding out for the pow pink. An educator tried very hard (nicely, this is my favourite, very pleasant location) to get me to try on a pair of ray WU's though. lol

lol, I like the comment about flash "light" being the old flash, just washed a million times til it stopped bleeding. Too funny! And probably true...! :)

I'd LOVE to get my paws on those Indigo WUs! Totally OT, but someone posted on here within the last week that they got a lookalike Define at Costco for $15-$20. I can't find the comment but was hoping to hear when/where the poster bought the jacket?? Thanks!
