New Markdowns all with sizes available!

Lots of new items uploaded on WMTM. To name a few: Find Bliss Tank, Run A Marathon singlet, skirt & crops, Liberty & Post Power crops, Hold Me Close crop...

Lina Thomlinson said...

I came here to post about the WMTM uploads too but you guys are so good you beat me to it. I just went to the store last night to size up in my Marathon crops. Guess I'll be returning those since I found the porcelaine ones online this morning for $39 less! It wasn't my first choice color (I had them in purple) but for that much of a savings I can live with it. So happy!

Anonymous said...

With all the short styles that went to WMTM, it makes me think we'll see new short options soon. Yay! Turbos please!
Also, I think that I want a Ray bra. We haven't seen that yet, right?

Anonymous said...

Can anyone comment on the fit of the ultra shorts? I love some of the prints that are marked down but have never tried them on. How do they compare to speeds? Also, are most people sizing up in marathon crops. I tried them on when they first came out and I kind of liked them but passed. I can't remember if I sized up.

Lina Thomlinson said...

@Anon 4:51 AM - I sized up in the Marathon crops and heard from a few others that they did as well. But then another poster said she wound up sizing down. For reference, I am pear-shaped with a bit of a tummy so it wasn't just an issue of getting them up over my hips but also hiding my belly once they were on. I found my usual 8 was way too tight, creating a muffin top and they seemed to ride down because they were so tight around my waist. Wheras the Sun Sprinter crops and WUC that I tried on are fine in 8.

Anonymous said...

I am size 2 in speed and got ultra shorts in 4 based on review. However I do find it fit more like speed 4 on me, maybe slightly smaller. If you want the look of the model, size up or go for the larger size (what I found), but otherwise I think TTS should be OK too.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone tried the Sun Sprinter SS? I couldn't find it in store. I don't like fitted shirts, so I generally size up in Swiftly T's, but wear my size or smaller in Run Wild T's. The shirt looks looser on the models on the Lulu site than the woman here.

I'm also curious to know how fitted the sleeves are.

Trying to decide whether to get anything from WMTM! Feel free to throw advice my way:

-In Stride in either color. I'm tempted, mostly because I've never owned an In Stride (I know, I know--I'm a Define girl!). I size up in my Defines because the sleeves are tight--do you do the same for In Strides?

-Thoughts on the Run Silver Bullet Sleeveless? I wasn't in love with the lattice front at first, but I am a size 8 so it seems like fate!

-Run: A Marathon singlet?

Help me please, and quick, because I know I don't have long!

Anonymous said...

Oh shoot, Anon 6:53 again, looks like I missed the In Stride in dune in my size, so nevermind...you snooze you lose!

I have the ultra shorts in the black jaquard print and LOVE them -- they fit TTS to speeds on me and are a smidge longer -- I think the main difference is they do not have the venting in the back like the speeds -- I say get them -- they are great shorts!

New markdowns, yay!!! Picked up a couple marathon crops and a dance tank. Love getting markdowns online or at the store!

Anonymous said...

Anon 6:53 - I lovelovelove my silver bullet tanks. I mostly use them for running but sometime wear to barre class. I bought the same size as My usual CRB and the SB tank fits more loosely. It skims my body so it's breezy and cool. My sports bra shows a but at the neckline and arm holes, but I'm happy with that look.

Anonymous said...

Not sure if I should size up on marathon crops? What did everyone else so?

Lauren said...

I got the black hold me close crop! I had been needing new black crops and was going to just get Wunder Unders but these are so much prettier!

Anonymous said...

Size up for sure! I wear a 4 in everything else which is usually either perfect or slightly big but the marathon crops are super tight. I'm afraid they will rip every time I pull them over my hips.

yogibabe said...

OT- Did I missed the Power Y in Seaside Dot White Fossil? I know the US site has this print in the CRB. Just received PIN from the OZ. I know that usually OZ receives new items first, so I'm hoping that we will get this soon, if not already.

Anonymous said...

Anon 6:53 here--thanks Anon 7:46! I ended up getting the silver bullet tank in black (couldn't quite get past the reflective stuff on the other colors). I think it will end up being a good purchase--I don't have a ton of running type tanks (I mostly just run in the SS Swiftlies), so I think it will add some nice variety!

No Stride for me today. I decided I'd rather try it on the next time I'm at the store to confirm my size/that I like it, and then wait for it to come up again in WMTM (hopefully in a non-grey color!). Or if I really like another color, just buy it full price!

Anonymous said...

Hi- I'm in the US but was poking around the Aussie site to avoid working. Does anyone know anything about the Push Ur Limits Tank? Is that something that's been produced before or is it new/Aussie exclusive?

Anonymous said...

Off subject with a question for you all. I just purchased 2 turbo run shorts online and they feel fitted, not tight. Im use to seeing people in baggy nike shorts and wonder are these suppose to be loose and baggy or fitted?

Anonymous said...

@ Anon 6:53 I have a Marathon snglet in Flash and i love love love it. I wore it to run a marathon but also wear it just to go out becaus eits that cute!

You guys are going to think I'm nuts, but I really want the Post Power crop, but not in white. Do you think any of the other colors will make their way to loot or is it pretty rare to see other colors of an item migrate to wmtm later?

Anonymous said...

I really hope they restock bruised berry for the Polocrosse crops. I have the black and totally regret not getting the bruised berry. :-(

Anon 9:11am, in regard to the fit of Turbo Run shorts, I truly believe it's a matter of personal preference. I own 6 pairs of turbos, and I usually buy a 10 in the ones that are 4 way stretch (the soft, silky ones) and a 12 in the 2 way stretch (the thicker, less giving ones). I'm 5' 11", 175 lbs. I have girlfriends at the gym who wear them as tight and fitted as a pair of Speed shorts, but I find that uncomfortable and unflattering. I don't believe they should be "baggy", but loose enough that you can move without restriction (I usually do some squats in the fitting room to make sure the legs aren't too snug) No matter which size you go with, they are more flattering than the Nike Tempo shorts. ;)

Deezee007 said...

I really want the Liberty Crops in white, has anyone tried these on?
Feed back would be great!

seattlite said...

I'm CRAZY about the In-Stride (I own a black/grey striped one. I own a Define, but the In-stride is more flattering on me because of the length (I'm 5'8)

I will say that I love the Run: A marathon singlet.. It has some iffy reviews, but it's nice and light. The white-ish striped one is the one I own, and I'll even wear it tucked into a skirt because it's so cute.

I bought the Practice Pant last week, and just bought the Recognition pant.. I hope it fits TTC... Anyone have experience?

I love the Run: A Marathon Skirt, but I tried it on in store and it was just WAYYYY too short for my long legs.. Sad.

Anonymous said...

Darn, I missed my size in Marathon crops. I usually wear a 6 in crops, but I know I'd need to size up to an 8 in those. Oh well.

Anonymous said...

I just got my first Define jacket!!! Just thought I'd let everyone know :) I LOVE the black denim. I liked the bruised berry too but wanted something that would go with everything and a little less flashy.

Levity said...

Run Ultra 2 are my FAV shorts! I like the basic black because they are comfy and stretchy-the printed versions have a stiffer feel to them. the leg openings are loose. This has a high tummy rise so I feel securely muffinlesss! These are shortie shorts though! Be ready to show a leg!

I like the marathon crops- enough to enjoy my one pair but not enough to become a candidate for the show Hoarders like I am with WU and other leggings LOL. I know many said they had to sixe up - but I had to size down from my WU size 8. Wonky! They are so breathable and lovely to run in - but they are not ALL TERRAIN, as I felt the material catch just by brushing up against things like doors or counters. I heard some people experienced side pocket sag if they put things in there. I don't have that issue. . . I only keep things in the nice little zip back pocket on those leggies because I'm actually not a fan of the side leg pockets. - The little grippies meant to help hold your shirt down for running . .. sadly do not hold my shirt down (swiftly tank) BUT they ARE pretty cool looking and make me feel like some kind of exotic reptile. . . ok thats all I have to offer on those particular items !! I'm home for the afternoon and zooming over to scope WMTM! Later!

For those of you who care about the "some like it hot tank", I received it in mail today. And I have to rant...I'm sorry in advance, haha.
Upon opening i immediately noticed that the straps were different lengths?! I put the tank on anyway. I can tell right away why the straps are different lengths...They have different support. I don't know why it was so necessary to make the straps "different looking" (i think it looked silly) in the first place, but it clear that they didn't anticipate the different support from either strap...so they just shortened one a bit. BUT that doesn't make the support even, not by far. It's still lopsided! Unreal how they got this through any testing.
Now for the real irritation...
The tank fits me well. It looks just like it does on the model, so i know it is not a fit issue. The tank looks great so long as you just stand there. One forward bend (one!) and half my boobs are popping out the top. The tank slides down the sides due to the construction. They made this for yoga, no? Did they do any yoga in it before production?
If they had not tried so hard on the tank (to make design more important than function), And just made the straps the supportive "tracked" looking ones and put them in regular strap place in the front. This would have been an improved Hot Set Tank.

Sorry for the blowup. But this sort of thinking has applied to may other lulu items lately. They over design something and then it doesn't function as workout gear...

I posted earlier with questions about the ultras and marathon crops. Thanks for the replies. Everyone was very helpful. One more question- do the power purple wunder unders show sweat? Thinking about returning if they do. Thanks!

Anonymous said...

@ anon 12:04 - the power purple WUC definitely DO show sweat in the crotch area(which is very common all the lighter colored WUC where it is going to be noticeable). That being said, I found this out in a pretty high impact aerobics class, if you're thinking about them for yoga or the gym, i've found mine to work fine in those situations.

Anonymous said...

Crash thank you so much for your turbo fit advice. I do love these shorts!

Lina Thomlinson said...

@Anon 11:57 AM -- What a disappointment! I hope you can return yours to a nearby store. I was eagerly awaiting the delivery of my package (won't be until next week since I'm on the East Coast) because of that tank. Now you've got me picturing lopsided boobs and the potential for flashing. Sounds awful. I was hoping to try one on in the store yesterday but they didn't even have them. Only the Some Like It Hot bra, which I didn't try since I'm not in the market for a bra. Wonder if that has the same issues too.

@yogibabe,
I don't remember seeing the power y in seaside dot. The only new one that has come out in the past few wks or so is the smaller dot (cannot remember exact shade/name). Maybe we'll see it next wk.

@Anon 9:11
I ADORE my turbos. Mine fit somewhat in btw tight and baggy. They are body-skimming and I still have full range of motion. Very comfy and flattering! My 4-ways feel a little larger and baggier than my 2-ways. IMO, as long as you are comfy, then they fit awesome, right!!! Enjoy them. I wish Lulu would come out w/ more turbos; it's summer for crying out loud!!!

Anon @ 11:57 AM - I agree 100% with your fit review of the Some Like it Hot Tank. I also received it today and it's going back to my local store ASAP.

On the positive side, I received the Deep Indigo WU crops and was pleasantly surprised to see they're Made in Canada (yay). Definitely keeping them because I feel it's a treat these days to receive anything lulu still Made in Canada:).

Anonymous said...

More Turbos! More Turbos! Is there an echo in here? Lulu, I hope you're reading this.

Anonymous said...

Hey Sourkraut,
maybe it will somehow workout better for you. The boobs/bust don't "look" lopsided, but you can sure feel the lack of support on one shoulder. I wanted to say that maybe the fact I have boobs, contributed to the tank's inability to function on me. Although, I really think the tank will slide, boobs or no boobs. If there is nothing holding the tank up near the armpits (and there in no grippy lining like in the hot but not tank---which I have and LOVE), even if you don't have an ample bust it will move on, especially if you practice yoga!
On another note, to compare. Like I mentioned. I have the "hot but not tank" and that has better support AND staying power than this new tank. How could that be with less coverage and a flimsy bra in the back?? Anyway you see my point. The tank has no functionality. In this circumstance, It's not us, it's them, LOL.
Anyway. I put my review up on the lulu website. Hopefully they will let it through. Last time I reviewed an item honestly, although negatively, they didn't allow it up.

I bought a couple of relaxed fit pants, rash guard in ss since I am out in the yard too much and have maxed out on my tanning shade limit (lol), 3 marathon crops but did not size up (dang it), marathon singlet and travel to track jacket in blush ( this is the wildcard of this purchase). I am excited mostly for the relaxed pants since we travel to colder states throughout the year so I can have these as my staples (I hope they fit). I just ordered tts in all of them. Fingers crossed. I would not have known about the sale if not for this blog. Thanks one and all!!!

I'm fascinated by the review of the Some Like It Hot tank because I had wondered how functional it could possibly be. Clearly, not very functional! Why wouldn't they at least put grippy tape on the inside of the top if they were going to make the straps like that? I'm mystified by the thought process of the design team on this particular item.

Unless they most just made it for people who wanted to buy something that would make them look, well, hot. And then just sit around, very carefully, while wearing it and just being hot.

Anonymous said...

You know your right anon 1:48pm...I should have known better by looking at the pictures on the "some like it hot tank". But i thought the same thing about "hot but not tank"... and that one really works on me. I was fooled by the cuteness, UGH.
Seriously, the "Some Like It Hot tank" looks fabulous on, VERY flattering...But is that all Lulu is going for now. Looks good, but you can't move in it type of clothes...
Actual product testing would have eliminated this.

Anonymous said...

The Push Ur Limits has been around for a while and it's amazing, my favourite tank. They haven't had colours I like in it for a while but I love it, it's the only one I can wear for almost any type of exercise I do.

I don't think there are products exclusively for Australia..

I got the run: silver bullet tank in black in a size 8. All my crbs are size 10, but I swear I remember trying this on in the store and thinking the 10 was huge, but now I'm freaking out that maybe I ordered the wrong size! Can anybody comment on whether they too sized down in the silver bullet tank? Thanks!

Lina Thomlinson said...

Uh oh, do you think they've started making a line of clothes for those of us who participate in advanced power lounging? Sounds like they've been lurking here and reading the comments. Can't say they haven't been listening to their customers!

One of the things that initially attracted me to Lulu was their ability to make cute, revealing tanks with strappy straps that somehow also offered plenty of support. Granted, I have small boobs, but I was amazed by how well the Flow and Go and, er, another tank I don't know the name of work for yoga and other low impact activities. A shame that they didn't manage to do that with the Some Like It Hot tank. I was hoping to wear it on vacation next week but I don't think it'd be a good idea to risk flashing my 99-year-old grandma. She's held on this long so I don't need to be the one to shock her into the grave.

Tracy Reifkind said...

Anon 6:33, about the SS Sun Sprinter...I just walked in the door with this shirt, based on seeing the first photo this morning! I didn't have time to try it on at the store today so here's what I just found out...

If you like your shirts loose, stay TTS, if you like them a bit 'huggier" you can size down. I'm right in between a 6 and an 8, and when I held the two sizes up I opted for the 6. I don't like shirts I train in to be baggy, that being said...

I love this shirt! I think my shoulders and arms are some of my best features and I find the SS in the smaller size more of a "capped" sleeve (my favorite cut!). Lulu hasn't gotten SS right that often since the pima 5 year tee imo.

At first I thought that I would buy one in every color, but there are only two other options. I'm flashed out and light purple doesn't so anything for me, so I decided to buy another black one in the size 8 for that 1 week a month that I need a little more room!

Besides black goes with everything, especially when you take advantage of the mesh panel to show a bra of a different color...although personally I think a black bra with the black mesh looks classy...if showing your bra could be classy, lol!

The biggest down side is that it's $68 bucks? Good-ness, did I really pay that? Well I'm going to train in it on Saturday we'll see if it's worth it!

I passed on everything in WMTM this morning. the only thing I was tempted by was another pair of Recognition pants...yep "another" pair! Decided to spend my $80 on something new. But thank you all for the heads up!

Anonymous said...

Anon 2:15 -
You will probably be fine sized down for the silver bullet tank. I alternate between 6 and 8 for CRBs. Some colors and patterns are just tighter than others, is it just me with this issue? I wear a 6 silver bullet tank b/c it's a looser cut. I'm also a DD. So, my waist might be a 4 but I could never size down that far without the bust being way too tight.

Oh man so bummed on the review of the some like it hot tank. Mine should arrive tomorrow and sounds like I will be returning it in store on Saturday morning :(

uh oh, i bought a size 8 black silver bullet. wonder how many of us are going to have cancelled orders?? i also picked up the fossil stride i wear jackets year round am was happy to find a lighter-color one for less than $100. I think I'm going for the white denim define next though:)

Maybe I'm the only one here who likes Some Like it Hot tank, but on my, my normal size 6 (117 lbs, 32C, 5'5") fits nicely. "The girls" seem to stay put in the few yoga poses I've tried... I will say that the different straps (with different tensions) thing is a little annoying, when I bend over I don't pop out per se, but the straps pull up around my neck a bit. Not uncomfortable, but a little awkward. We will see how it goes in an hour+ class. If I'm tugging it down, that will be annoying.

Really loving the Flash Light color with Indigo WUs though.

I just got my Some Like It Hot from my amazing Fed Ex man and this tank is a complete joke!!! I am so angry that I will have to pay ten dollars to have it sent back!!! One strap seems an inch longer. Super silly looking!

Nicolie said...

Ingenue you give me hope! I am a 32A and bought a size 4. Hope it works but if it at all feels funky I'll exchange it in store. Still bums me out because it looks so cute in the pics I have seen.

Hi finally ordered the recognition pants ive been eyeing forever! So happy to get them on sale and I got the ones with the April wee waistband because I figure I can always get the plain all black ones later. I also got the power dance tank since I loved the other one I have!!

Too bad about the Some Like it Hot tank! Has anyone tried the Optimal Tank yet?

Did bikram in my Some Llike it Hot Bra. Amazing, love it. So flattering and it didn't move. I am an A cup was worried it would slide down but it didn't. Getting another one!

Levity said...

Sounds great Jess! - I've been considering recognition pants for a while but there were always other things I wanted more at the time! Please post and let me know how you like them if you get a chance =D

Anonymous said...

I'm curious, how does the Recognition Pant look with the hem cinched?

Considering that they list it as a feature, it would have been nice for LLL to include a photo of it cinched.

Anonymous said...

I have three pair of Recognition pants, and a fourth coming my way via the Fedex man. Pros: they are a cute full-length bootleg with a sharp, tight cut to them. Potential con: if nice-looking (slim, muscular) legs and tushy are your asset then these are very flattering, but if they are not your finest point then I would avoid as they put your rear-end right out there, and highlight/emphasize the flow of the thigh muscles absolutely.
The waistband can be kept high for muffin-top control or folded down for a hipster look, both are cute. The bootleg tie is a useful feature and subtle too, no clown-pant effect. I tie my pant legs in when I teach my step class otherwise they flap annoyingly.
Also be warned: very minor camel toe alert

Update on the Some Like it Hot tank - I wore it to an hour of heated vinyasa flow, and I never had to adjust it. It was comfortable and I got a couple of compliments on it :) The bottom half is thinner material and it does not retain it's shape so well - kind of stretched out a bit, and I like it to fit more body skimming than tight, so it wasn't snug to begin with.

Overall I really liked it. It's cute and functional for me for yoga. I could even see myself wearing it with white DSC this summer!
