I really love that pink color. . . but I don't have any toga parties to attend in the near future- going to be a pass.
If you have no chest, can it be worn without a bra (so much fabric)? Just asking, mildly interested. Biggest fear is that I would get this home, forget how to put it on to make all these looks, wad it up and never wear it for anything.
@FocusYou can definitely wear it without a bra, chest or no chest (which is a safer option-no chest!). There are a bunch of earlier photos of it without bras, just risque looking. :PThis is one of those 'must try before I buy" thing. Not those "safe bet to buy online". It's probably pushing $100 anyway, (was it posted as $98 somewhere in this blog?).This dress ia actually growing on me. I was thinking of using it as a beach cover up. Definitely more stylish than just wearing a big shirt or tunics over my bathing suit. Especially if there's a beach party going on after (think July 4). But definitely not for the public pool, though. That will somehow translate the look differently, if you know what I mean. ;) A private pool party will be good....now just have to find a fancy pool party to hang around with in this dress!
last night in the store i bought this dress in pink/black, and i am also the one who was writing negative comments on this blog earlier just by looking at the pic's. nothing to do with modeling girls or who took pic's. i went a size up to have better fit and comfort level. thanks to ladies from California who purchased this dress and shared their opinion on this blog earlier- it convinced me to try at least. it is a bit of a fabric at the front, which does not really bother me if i put up the extra fabric around my neck vs let it hang down. the biggest advantage of extra fabric at the front is that it is hiding "grapes". with my 36 D i can easily get away without a bra. it also does not look like just a pool or party item. when it is +35 C and you wear this dress with flats it would look normal in the city - it all depends how you carry it. if you make "interesting" poses, then it will look like you are looking:) i am not trying to convince anyone here, but just wanted to share my opinion. LULUADDICT, thx for this blog. i live in canada, where we get stuff after the US and those heads up from the US folks help me better plan and make my purchases. also, love a sense of humor and the atmosphere on this blog. have a nice wknd and... happy CDN day to all Canadians!
It's Canada Day not CDN Day. Happy Canada Day, Canadians!Just sayin. Why would you spell out almost every other word in your comments and abbreviate the country's name?
That's one expensive beach cover up or pool party dress. Pass. Will be relegated to a "has been". Does nothing to flatter a slim figure. Some will buy this thinking they can hide belly fat, but sorry, you still need a slim figure to pull this dress off in the hips/lower part.
Why not? Maybe she ran out of time toward the end, at least she said it sheeh. Just sayin.
I don't think anybody should mention or comment about any holidays anymore.Ha ha. There seems to be a mess up every time. And everybody all of a sudden becomes so sensitive and touchy. What's up with that? Anyway, this dress is not for me. I can't pull it off and not paying that much for it. I am going to a store today and see what it really looks like in person. The dresses I have bought from Lulu are alright. I went through a phase where I was just buying anything that came out. I'll use my money for a nice crop or jacket instead.
I second what Pink Peony 4 wrote about holidays!@ yogibabe,Think this would great and amazing as a coverup for the beach/pool party. I was thinking about using it as a coverup too. I live on the beach and this would be really cool and stylish over a bathing suit. Although, I may have trouble dropping close to $100 for a coverup. I'll have to try it on.
this last photo gives me ideas for my super hero costume i'm planning for halloween!
hello! does anyone know if this dress will be available online this week?! Thx!
If I am a size 8...would I need to size up?
As a shrug, the sleeve lengths are uneven because of where the back slit falls.
Rachel Pally has been making (cuter) versions of this dress for years. http://www.shopbop.com/rachel-pally/br/v=1/2534374302025521.htm
