Real Life Swim Line Photos

Ms. KD was kind enough let her photo be used for the blog as an illustration of how much/little the new swim suits covers. She is a size 6 in lulu (sometimes a 4 in tops), an A/B cup. Both the top and bottom are size 6.

Some curvier ladies in the new swimwear.

Ms KD has an amazing figure and the swim suit does nothing for her, think lulu has some work to do... Rash guard shirts are cute!

Agreed! I appreciate the models putting themselves on the line. Other than the rashguard everything needs reworking in order to accentuate a woman's body. This kind of fail happens when a design goes through so many revisions that its statement is compromised. Or perhaps Lulu simply needs designers who understand swimwear aesthetic?

Makes my Lululemon shopping reform much easier. Lululemon is not exactly the first place I think of when shopping for a swimsuit, even if it's just resort wear. Also, reversible swimwear in theory is a good idea, but my experience has been that they usually lack the shape that you would get with more structured and fitted pieces.

This is all really unflattering. All these women have nice figures but the swimwear makes them look boxy. The rash guard will just widen swimmers' shoulders.

Glad it's easy to pass on these, especially combined with the bleeding warning and final sale

The 2nd and 3rd pics are eds at my local store.... and they are wonderful, fit ladies who can rock pretty much anything! I think this might be the best those suits can look. (ps, these girls are also sweethearts who will tell it to you like it is. LOVE THAT:))

Ugh, they need to stick to yoga and running wear. Instead they are selling defective (color bleeding) swimwear that you can't return. Vicki

I should say, "trying to sell".

From the reviews I'm reading from the people who tried them on, the board shorts are the most liked piece of the new line. Most people are not liking the swim line at all. Bustier women say the Swim Racer top works best for them but it looks too much like a sports bra.

I'm going to date myself, but the monokini looks like a Norma Kamali one piece I had in the '80s and Kamali did it better.

Spot on and totally agree!
