At our store last night (US), there was a pair of Astros being clearanced ($79). I don't recall seeing it on the site. It had Elevation Space Dye + Flash (or appeared to be Flash), and the body of the pants was a heathered coal color. Also, re: pigment blue -- I tried on the Define jacket and a Ta Ta Tamer. The TTT I tried was the same size I just bought the other day in a different color, but this was way too tight. And they didn't have a 6 in Define so I tried an 8 and it fit perfectly (had tried on the 8 previously in other colors and it was too loose). So I think the pigment may not fit TTS. At least the solid pigment. The Deep Breath with pigment stripes fits fine. I also sprang for the matching pants yesterday. BTW, the Allegro scarves at my store are $39, whereas in WMTM, they're $49. Got 2 Scoop Necks for $39 each, too. Yay, sales!
Do Lulu clearance prices happen all year long, or is it pretty much just in January and maybe July, except for a smattering? Still getting used to Lulu strategizing. Thanks!
The black slub denim shows sweat a LOT. Don't do an intense workout in them unless you want to look like you peed in your pants!
Looks like the Will pants are stealthily back up on the site (though not listed on This Just In).
Also, speaking of different store/site prices:I was in my local store Tuesday and the Skidless Towels are there for $39 (rather than $49 on the site) and the Amphipod bottles are $19 (rather than the $29 on the site).I'd been interested in the Amphipod but unwilling to pay anything more than $20 for a water bottle, so I finally picked one of those up.On the other hand, the rehearsal bras were $24 in store, where they were $29 on the site, so there's a lot of variation.Picked up the detachable fur Scuba and the Groove Wunder Unders this morning. So excited to wake up and see those in loot! I'm thinking about the Still Groovy bag, too. I've got a DTB and a BVD, so wouldn't mind something in between, too. They have Still Groovy bags in Loot all the time it seems, though, so I don't feel as pressed to pick one up.
Oops, that should be $19 on the site for the rehearsal bras. They were cheaper on site than in store.
I got those astros with the striped pigment waistband a couple weeks ago and am in love with them! Maybe one of my favorite pairs yet!
Our skidless towels we're lower priced, too. Are they any good? The lime green one was cute.
So I'm new to Lululemon and I am completely obsessed! How do you guys manage to wear all the cute Lulu outfits without going broke??
@4:07, I haven't managed the not going broke part yet.
Lol! I just need to find the right excuse to justify my purchases so I won't be so hard on myself :)
@4:07, run away now and don't look back! You WILL go broke! In a matter of days you will find yourself sacrificing food and living essentials just to fuel your Lulu obsession.
What is the difference between Wunder Grooves and Wunder Unders. I can't really tell but I think I like the Wunder Grooves better but don't know why.If you buy one LULU thing you will be hooked and soon broke. They wear so well. I still wear my first pair of pants and first top I got more than 5 years ago. I do take care of them. The key is to only but what you love, love, love and wait for it because they always seem to come up with something better like the Wunder Grooves after the Wunder Unders. Or like the Foxy Lulu panties after the Lacey Lulu panties. Or like the Magnum Space Dye. Or the Tango Red after the Alarming red.... Don't buy it unless you can't live without it but if you are undecided buy it and think about it and return it because things disappear quickly.
It's like there's a pheromone they put in their clothing so as soon as you bond with one item, you're sunk for all of them. I resisted for about 8 months of exposure to Lulu stuff all around me, but after I bought 1 Define, that was it. More more more. That said, I can resist a lot of items because they don't look good on me (Empire waist, ugh) or I don't feel the tailoring/style is special. But those that I do love -- like Define, Cuddle Up with fur, Recognition Pant -- etc. + some of the fabrics are not to be found elsewhere. So I'm sunk.eBay can be a solution, but not much of one. The prices for used are still high, and the new stuff is priced up by speculators. But I did just get a like-new Define (old color) for $55 and a pair of like-new Grooves for $50.The holiday sale has been helpful...and not. Heh heh. It made me buy some things I otherwise wouldn't have. But it was fun, too.As I see it, I don't really splurge on anything else, so this is my excused insanity. And my closet is only so big, so I have to stop.I get happy when Lulu focuses on colors that don't look good on me. It gives my wallet a rest.Lots of people sell older colors/styles as they buy newer. So that helps them with $$, I'm sure.
@7:41: thanks for the tips! The new items listed on the WMTM section is killing me! It's been very hard to not buy everything there...now I'll think twice before taking the plunge :)-4:07
under "what's new" there are Stride jackets that are brushed -- is this really new? Also no sizes left for the soft mini check and the black herringbone -- did I miss something??? i don't remember seeing the "brushed" Strides and i only check the website every 5 minutes!!!!!
Is it bad that I check WMTM every 5 minutes to see if new items made it on there?? Lol!
@ anon 4:52 am - Lulu clearances all year but certain times of the year are better than others - like the change of seasons.@ anon 4:07 pm - I haven't managed the not going broke thing either. ;-) I sell my older lulu that I don't wear anymore on ebay to help fund my new lulu, which helps a little bit. My lulu wardrobe is pretty complete so I am at the point where I get to be very picky about what I like. However, every now and then a print comes out that I buy a ton of (hello, Tinted Canvas). I have also discovered a new love for Lively Crewneck tees so that will be an area I'll concentrate on for a while in this future provided good prints/patterns come out. I buy new tanks to keep me going to the gym but since I'm busty not a lot of styles work for me. However, I seem to be able to find room in my closet for a new Power Y, Scoop Neck or Cool Racerback.
I purchased one of the Still pants on WMTM, my first time in those pants. I got them today and should have sized down 2 whole sizes. Wow there is a lot of fabric. I see how they would be awesome in the perfect size though and I'm super disappointed. And weirdly it is almost a bit short and I'm only 5'6". So if nyone needs a size 6 I'll be putting a pair on ebay tomorrow.
I ordered Still Pants too - and wow - size down for sure people! I ordered the 2 and they are still a tad big! But they will still work for me for layering over my WU crops on the way to the gym. Ok and is it just me or did they re-shoot some of the Will pant photos - specifically the dark coal ones?
Seriously - i just posted about the Will pant photos and then went to look - they are totally different photos! The waistband is folded down in the photos of the heathered coal ones and I swear it was up in the old photos from before they disappeared from the site.
I am SO curious as to what was up with the Will pants. Do you think they had bad reactions to the high waist photos so someone in corporate said "pull them and reshoot -- stat!" or something? Funny. While the skinny Lulu models can certainly pull off low-rise pants I thought that the high-rise photos were illustrative of how to wear the pants and actually made me want them since I usually wear tight leggings with long shirts or sweaters (and thus the Steve Urkel rise is totally covered). Amen to pants that suck it in!!
Yeah, thats exactly why I think they reshot those photos! But I'm with you! I like the high waist on them! I wasn't planning to wear them as workout wear, but just as something under sweaters and with boots. I could care less what the waistline looks like! And since there are no WU's of interest (to me anyway), these fit the bill. Now...hurry up and put them in the WMTM, Lulu!
Hear, hear! Please put the Will pant in WMTM! I totally want a second pair. Just wore mine today on a road trip and they were sooooo comfy. And even though I mostly bought them for casual wear I can see them being perfect for their intended purpose (yoga, pilates, etc) since they really stay in place.
