Cuddle Up Jackets Are Coming Back
The Cuddle Up jacket is coming back. I'm not sure what store this image is from but here is one in Ghost. These jackets are very similar to the Scuba jacket except without a hood. I hope the sides are ribbed like in the Scuba. As soon as I know more I will post.

If it looks huge and bulky on the model I can only imagine...
the models ALWAYS always wear a size 6 so that you can determine for yourself if you feel like you should stay TTS or size up or down. Enough with the negative attitudes around here.
Lol well thanks for the feedback
Wow anon @ 9:16am needs yoga!!!
FYI : My Cuddle up from last year does have the ribbed sides
Looks comfy! I hope it is longer than the scuba because the scubas are too short for me.
@ momof5 - oooh! Good news! Maybe I will order one to give it a try. I can't remember if my local stores got them last year.
@anon 9:16 am - Thanks for the tip. I didn't know the models always wear a size 6 whether it fits correctly or not. That is a good to know.
What?? Why would the models always wear a size 6, whether it fits or not? That doesn't make sense as a marketing strategy, and it certainly doesn't make sense if the majority of lulu buyers do not know that. I know for a fact I have seen a photo on the website where the model was showing the hidden pocket and it showed a size 4. I believe anon9:16am is mistaken.
@ anon 10:43 am - you are right, I do remember seeing the dot in the pocket of some pants and it was a 4. Maybe they put them in size 6 tops since there is a little more leeway there? You are also right about customers knowing the models are in a 6. It's not really posted on the website anywhere.
Hmm, most of the models look smaller than a 6, especially the blonde one in the Cuddle Up jacket. Maybe they are really tall though? Why wouldn't they put models in the size that fits them properly, instead of just a 6 - that doesn't make sense.
I work at lululemon and I can tell you that the models do wear a 6 on the website. Not necessarily each store's facebook pages (which have the educators modeling the clothes), but the official lululemon models. The manequins in the stores also always model a size 6.
I bought a Cuddle Up last year during the second roll out. I am 5 feet, 98 pounds and the size 4 is quite fitted and slim through the body. I really like it.
@Anon 12:30 - tip since you work for lululemon. Even if we know that all the models wear a size 6 on the website (which i don't think is public knowledge); if we don't know the models typical size, it really doesn't help us determine if we should size up or down (i.e. a size 2 model wearing a size 6 scuba is different than a size 4 model wearing a size 4 scuba, and we're supposed to tell the difference?). Just something to take back to corporate - might be nice to post educator size, and size they're wearing in full view on the website.
I was told by one of the website models that they are usually a 6, except that she did confess that with the Stride jacket, she wears a 4 for the photo shoot, since it is a looser fitting jacket to begin with. But yes, unless you have the inside scoop or are very attention to detail to see the size dots on the web models when they do show, as an example, the adjustable bra for Spin Me tanks, you wouldn't know. But that why we read this blog and ask questions. ;0)
YAY!!! Thank you so much LLA! I have been crossing my fingers for a Cuddle-Up Jacket since I missed out last year, and I am really excited to get one this year. Thanks again!
P.S - Do you know any official release dates? I am in Canada, BTW.
I really like knowing that they are all in sixes for everything they wear. It is really helpful to determine the boxiness of sizes. I feel like people size down way too much and everything is tight or body hugging when items weren't designed to tight.
Yeah... I am actually friends with one of the girls who models for the website and she definitely does not always wear a 6! lol. I think you are confused with the mannequins. I even just texted her to ask! she says she wears whatever size usually fits the best which for her is normally a 4.
The jacket in the picture does look to big. My guess is she's just wearing a sample because it hasn't been officially released yet OR cause it's meant to be cozy not sure snug she just went a size up. I have one from last year and I went a size down. They fit on the large size
