Scubas from last fall: Chili red, Cactus green, and Dahlia purple |
Some rumors on the boards today that we will be seeing some greens this fall. Supposedly there will be a green similar to Cactus and a lighter one similar Savage Green. It is believed that one of the colors is called something like Tree Frog Green. The greens are supposed to come out in October.

Plum Heart Tank |
There is also supposed to be a plum-like color coming in November.
 |
Chili Red Scuba |
And lastly, there is supposed to be an orangey-red color that is more suited for fall than Alarming Red.

Ahhhhhhh....REAL colour! YES!!!!!
I am loving this!
GREAT news!!!
finally! I can start spending money in the store again!
Hooray!!
I want PLUM right now!!!
Such boring colors.. :(
YAY!!!!! I want the plum right now too!!!! And hooray for the greens and reds!!!! Saving my $$$ now...
I don't like any of them except plum. What a bummer. The green and orange-red just look kind of cheap and boring to me... like colors I'd find in the Wal-Mart sweatshirt section.
I used to have a scuba from Fall 2009 that was like a burnt orange/orangey red. Then I spilled whitening toothpaste on it, bleached it, so I sadly got rid of it. Soooo, I'm excited about possibly replacing it!! Though I'm in a dilemma, because I really love the heathered rose scuba right now...and I really want to buy it...decisions:-)
Not a fan of these colors...AT ALL
Does anyone know what to do to prevent further snagging on the l/s manifestos? I washed mine for the 1st time, in a lingeries bag, on delicate, and it came out with a small snag. I did expect this as I've heard how delicate they are...but was wondering if anyone had figured out a way to prevent a snag from developing into a large snag???
anonymous, i know this is going to sound totally weird, but have you ever tried washing it inside another longsleeve?
Like, put both longsleeves on with the other LS on top. wash them together like that. of course make sure the top one has no abrasive things like zips or snaps, etc.
October is the start of the winter rollout. I am over the Scubas, I saw a 7 yr old girl wearing one that stopped me from wanting to own one.
Anon 10:46--thanks so much! That doesn't sound weird-it actually sounds like a great idea!
You can get a product called FRAY CHECK at a fabric store. It will stop a snag. It comes in a little plastic bottle and works similar to nailpolish on pantyhose but is usually safe for most fabrics. Test it first by applying some (a drop) to the seam. I put a piece of old computer paper under the fabric when I do it because the solution spreads. Just VERY lightly dab it. It washes out after a few times and will need to be reapplied. It does make a soft plasticy like CLEAR lump but that is how it seals the threads from fraying.
Thank you Anon 12:16. That sounds great, too! The burnout fabric is so nice, but so delicate:-(
When are they hitting the web. I missed the plum before and have to have it this time. Save one for me
I love the Plum too. Was lucky enough to snag one in the Push Ur Limit! BTW, heard anything about PUL coming back? Would love to see it in these colors. I love them all. :)
as we know, the pics do not show well the true color. i tnimk when lulu introduces those, we will be reaaly pleased with some. in my case- my love for wren and citron is turning into obsession for cactus green or sage... i cannot stop it:)
I bought the dignity crop in coal- all my other Lulu pants are black. Today was the first day I wore them, and I was horrified to see they show sweat. I ride public transportation back from the studio- today I got on the train looking like I peed my pants. Is this true of all coal lulu pants? Should I stick to black, or is it the fabric choice that matters?
So great to see a diversity of opinion no matter what! What a wonderful world we live in!
@anon 12:36: I have the coal gather and grow pants, and they do not show sweat. I tested them on a run in 25 degree, sunny weather, and nothing came through.
anon 12:36. except for black and white, everything else shows sweat. but we still go for colors! the good think is that luon or other lulu fabric dries out fast. in the club noone cares your pants show sweat because most likely their's wear shows too. by the time you get to the stop, i am sure your pants/top will be dry. do you really look at other people's pants? most likely not. this is what other people do too. so, do not worry and enjoy your gray pants. :)
GREEN!!!!!!!!
Come on, a nice, wearable red! You can do it, Lulu!!!
LOL! Thanks or the feedback guys re: sweat showing on colored pants! And you're right- probably no one is looking at my pants at the stop :D
@12:36... I can't wear anything other than black pants either. I don't know about the others, but it REALLY shows in coal or static black for me so I completely stay away from it. It's a bummer because I would love a little more variety, but it's really not something that I feel like I could get away with not being noticed. However, I will say that the Luxtreme bottoms show sweat WAY more for me, so definitely stay away from those outside of black.
After months of only black pants, I broke out and got coal and heathered black. Yes, they show a faint amount of sweat in the dreaded crotch area, but in the studio, everyone is sweating like crazy so I have decided not to care. As for to and from, I find that the pants do dry out quickly and within 5-10 min the sweat is barely, if not at all, visible. I also want to thank LLA for this blog! I love it and check it every day! Thank you for taking the time to create these informative and often humorous posts.
Lol some of you are crazy. You limit yourself to black because you care what someone think of your sweat? In the gym/yoga studio if they care about how much sweat YOU are showing they need to get their priorities straight. Oh well, such is life.
