More Photos of the Latest

Some photos of the newest colors of Pace Setter and Speed Skirts hitting the stores. The Pace Setter comes in Coal/Coal Wee Stripe, Black/Pink Mist, and solid Black. The Speed skirt is in Surge/Surge Wee Stripe.

New Scuba in Citron.

This photo was inside one of my product alert emails. It's instructive in that it's the same woman in all of Lululemon's shorts. It's interesting to note which fit on the snug side and which fit loose. It looks like the Willpwers have the loosest fit and that the girl in the photo should probably size up in the entire top row, unless it causes the leg opening to flare too much.

Lulu needs an "Are my pants too small" training video for their educators.

Our store in Birmingham has not opened yet so I have to go strictly on the size chart and order from the website. I wear a 6 in wonder unders and grooves. Should I go to an 8 in the speed short?

If you are a 6 in wunders and grooves, definitely a 6 in the speed short! the waist band is made of luxtreme and it needs to be fitted or else when you work out or run in them.....they will fall......i speak from experience!

That is one brave educator to be modeling those too-tight-for-her shorts!

As far as sizing, I find the thing with the speed shorts is more your thigh diameter than waist size. The pants are stretchy and the shorts have a stretchy waist but the leg opening not so much. I wear a 4 or 6 in pants and an 8 in the Speed shorts. I own 8 pairs of speeds and always seem to have a pair in my shopping cart I'm waiting to pull the trigger on! I just about live in them during the summer. And I'm not a young'un, the legs are just the body part I was blessed with... other areas not so much! I cannot wear the turbo shorts because the legs were too tight at the thigh. And if you don't have a butt at all, the speeds won't look very good. In this photo, the model wearing the speeds needs to go up one size, possibly two. I also wear the splits and they look nothing like this photo if fitted properly.

The thing I take away from this photo is that there is a short for everyone's body though. This model's short is the Fastest Short, looks really good on her.

@ Debbie B - I agree. I didn't post it so people would say "size up" What is very interesting is how the various styles fit her body.

None of them fit my body. No hips. I stick with biker grooves and the new take flight bike short. *sigh*

Those dewberrys definitely run small compared to some others I've tried lately. I ordered my usual speed short size and they were way too small.

I have two speed shorts that I like the look off though, like some other poster said, they always feel like they're about to fall down. If i were to size down, they'd look like the pics above. The waist band is definitely very loose. For anything above a 2 mile run, I go with my nike or mizuno shorts.

Based on the fit of the respective shorts, I'd guess she's built similarly to me. I have narrow hips, and the Speed and Turbo shorts just don't work for me: when I wear my usual size, the leg openings flare out too much, but when I size down the waistband is too tight. The Fastest shorts fit me really well, and I did size down for them.

Wondering if u know when the Citron Scuba comes out? Also want to ask; I've only been buying Lulu since January and have all warm weather stuff (live in Atlanta) like CRB's, speed shorts, skirts, etc. Wanted to get your thoughts on what I should buy for my first sweater/jacket for fall. The names are so overwhelming; Stride, In Stride, Define, WWA, Remix, etc. Wanting something for everyday, to wear to the gym and running around w/ the kids! Nothing too tight though.

BTW, I LOVE your blog! You do an awesome job of previewing and explaining everything to all us other Lulu addicts!!! :)

I'm waiting for The Fastest short to arrive in the mail. Based on the pictures, I'm even more excited now!
