I got my Heathered Wren Clam Diggers today. I like the color but the material feels a bit thinner and more polyestery than my black Clam Diggers. Also, the ribbed material at the waistband is looser fitting than lulu used to use in the Clam Diggers. I have some old Canadian made black Clam Diggers back when they sold for something like $58 and the waistband was more sturdy feeling and snugger. I am wondering if I should use a Canadian Angel to get a pair of the Heathered Wren Still shorts which don't seem to be coming to America or maybe order the Heathered Wren Still crops and have them hemmed a few inches. I also might try the Heathered Wren Gather and Crow crops but I like the shorter length of the Clam Diggers. I'll give them another try tomorrow but I am really uncertain about keeping them.

I think the Canadian ones will not be any different, due to rising costs Lululemon is cutting corners. My Pink Mist Define feels different than the ones sold earlier in the year, it shrunk in cold water wash line dry.
@ anon - I meant I have old Clam Diggers that are about 4-5 years old when the waistband was made of a thicker material. It fits a bit snugger at the waist. I think the new waistband is made of ribbed luxtreme now which is too stretchy or something.
I think some one else commented in that their Toothpaste Define also shrunk when they washed it. Did you try taking it back? That is not right. People said that both the Pink Mist and Toothpaste Defines seemed to fit tighter than normal.
I'm trying to get an idea what colour heathered wren actually is. I've not actually seen it in person, since there isn't a Lululemon where I live. Is there any chance you or somebody else could post a photo showing it against some other heathered grey colours, like heathered heron and coal?
That is a shame about the clam digger crops. I think the CN ones are probably the same....but it couldn't hurt to find out.
I returned my heathered wren clam diggers too. Much happier with the heathered wren backbend!
The clam diggers are my favorite and I also have a few pairs from 4 year ago (blue, black and green) and the new versions are definitely different. I haven't tried this years on because I could tell they were a different material just from looking and feeling them. I am in Canada and believe you will have the same problem if you order them from a Canadian store. If the clam diggers came in new colors I would be tempted to buy them but I also believe the new fabrics show a lot more (aka any inperfection in your bum) than the originals do.
