Deep Breath - Fit Report

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. We took a family vacation to ski in Utah and stopped for a night in Las Vegas. I visited the LV Lululemon store while we were there. I tried on the new Scoop Necks in Tango Red, Heathered Sand Dune, and Black Citron Tinted Canvas print but didn't really love any of them. The Tinted Canvas Scoop is pretty but the one I tried on had a big pale area in front so I didn't get it. I tried on the new Deep Breath tank in Tango Red and the Black with the Tinted Canvas/Blurred Gray neckline. (The store also had it in solid black.) I ended up buying the version in the photo above because it matched my new Groove pants.

When I got home today I was able to put cups in the tank, move around in it a little, and compare the fit and look to my Deep V tanks. When I tried it on in the dressing room, the tank seemed to show a liveable amount of cleavage. However, when I tried it on at home today and was able to move around in it a bit more the cleavage went lower and I had to keep yanking the neckline up.  I think the weight of my boobs just overwhelmed the construction of the tank. The cup portion is made of light luon and the straps are luxtreme with elastic inside that attach to a racerback portion made of circle mesh. The light luon and circle mesh are both pretty stretchy so if you are very busty, I think this tank won't work for you unless you don't mind showing a lot of cleavage. I thought the support of this tank is on the low end of moderate, similar to the Inner Strength tank.

I compared the Deep Breath to a couple of my Deep Vs and a CRB:
Deep Breath (left) and Athletic Deep V (right)

This is a size 12 Athletic Deep V on top of the size 12 Deep Breath. The Deep Breath is much longer and a bit wider. However, most people sized up in the Deep V.

Here is a photo of a size 14 Deep V to the size 12 Deep Breath. The Deep Breath is wider at the armpits but about the same through the waist but still longer than the Deep V. The Deep Breath did gap a bit in the armpits on me. I should have tried the next size down but the educator had to dig these out of the box for me and I was in a hurry because my husband and kids were waiting for me.

Here is a comparison of a size 12 CRB to the Deep Breath. The DB is still wider than the CRB but it's about an inch shorter. I am planning on returning this tank and may try on the size 10 to see if it fits better under the armpits but I think the tank will not have enough support to prevent me from showing too much cleavage.

All in all, it's a nice lightweight tank. It definitely shows less cleavage than the Pure Balance tank but more cleavage than the Athletic Deep V tank. It probably shows about as much cleavage as the regular Deep V tank but the materials are stretchier (the regular Deep was made of luon with a power mesh racerback) so I think the tank will tend to creep down if you have any sort of weight in your breasts at all. Be sure to move and bend in the dressing room when trying this on. I think the tank runs on the larger side so you might want to try a size down from your normal tank size.

I bought both the tango and black print. I love, love, love this tank. But, then again, I'm very small busted and this tank made me look like I had a bust (without the cups in!). It is super flattering if you are small busted.

I just bought the black/tinted canvas version of this tank yesterday and totally love it. I is so flattering on! (But I'm also very small busted.) I hope this one becomes a staple item.

I think this tank will work well for everyone but those with very large breasts. It's a very flattering tank but I was too uncomfortable with the amount of cleavage that I showed in it.
