Reader Bridget sent in some photos of her Swiftlys in Very Violet (left) and Violaceous (right). The colors are pretty close. I've love to throw my Potion Purple Swiftly on top and see how close it is to the other two.
Any more fit reviews of the Pure Focus Tank? I saw a woman wearing a similar top at my son's Little Game yesterday. Her version looked the same except it was a pure tube top with no straps and it was made of cotton. It had a similar silhouette, though, with gathers in the middle of the bust and a banded bottom. I think this will be at my local store on Tuesday or Wednesday. I really love how Lululemon makes workout clothes that mimic the trends in street wear.

Am curious if the Violaceous Swiftly LS has the grey piping like the SS. In the stock pictures in product alerts it doesn't. I hope its without the grey piping and I prefer it all one color.
@Zanna - The LS Swiftly in violaceous is solid without grey piping. I just purchased it yesterday at my gym. It looks just like the Very Violet one but of course just a shade or two off like the picture above.
Thanks LuvLulu. Will be getting the Violaceous one then.
^ YAY! That makes me happy because I HATE the grey piping. Glad I'm not the only one, too :)
I don't like the grey piping either. I really wanted to get the short sleeve but I don't like the grey neckline. I'll probably have to pass on that one. Usually when my gym (In US Northern CA) gets stuff, the Lulu stores will get it a week or two later so it's won't be too long. I usually try not to buy from them but I couldn't resist this and the Violaceous Scuba.
I went to Santa Monica store yesterday and saw Pure Focus tops there, they were $58. There was not much support for me.
i hate the grey piping in the neckline too! i'll probably get the violicious too if it doesn't have the grey. i wish they would come out with more solid short sleeves!
Off topic but I noticed that still shorts were available on the Lululemon site. Anyone know how these look?
I like the look of the Pure Focus tank but I seem to notice many of the women posing in it for photos tend to put their hands on their waists - could it be that this tank shows underarm fat? I have that problem with some of the Lulu tanks with similar styling up top even though I am slim and otherwise have no underarm fat problem in most tanks (like CRBs, scoop necks, etc.).
Purchased the Pure Focus tank in black/grey and the Pure Move Crop in black. They look cute together as the ruffles at the bottom of the crop match the sheer luon on tank. I sized down in the tank and still found the tank roomy and flowy. Very cute top for streetwear!
I tried on the Pure Focus at the store in Brentwood (Los Angeles). It's a pretty low support top, but once the cups were in my chest was fine. I found the pleats in the back kind of made me look like I had diaper issues when the top was pulled down low. Otherwise it was super soft and really pretty. I've wishlisted it, but I could definitely see myself buying it. I also tried on the Pure Balance, but that was an epic fail and an easy pass. My chest (E cup) is too full for it.
Random q - Does a 50-rep bra show under a CRB, or is it pretty well hidden? My current bra shows in the back : ( Thanks!
Ok, Now I'd like a comparison to a Potion Purple Swiftly! Is the PP lighter than Viola?
@Ali - The 50 Rep Bra is pretty much hidden under the CRB. You can see the back straps peaking slightly but its hardly noticeable.
what are "diaper issues" - i have seen this written a couple times. if people were talking about pants, I could get an idea, but this is a tank top - diaper issues with a tank?
diaper issues = top being really baggy and thus unflattering in the butt area. It kind of looks like a full diaper if that makes sense.
Aside from this tank, what is new that we can expect the stores to be getting this week? Seems like last week was a fairly big inventory week and nothing much popping up since then...
I do not anticipate the next big rollout until Summer April/May.
Granted, I don't have a violicious swiftly, but I do have a potion purple and a very violet. IMO pp is several shades darker than v.violet and I own a violicious crb, which is more pink than either of those two colors.
I had the same "diaper" issue with the Pure Focus tank. I am 5'6" and found that unless I pulled it down way under my butt like on the model, it would bag out in an unflattering way in the butt area. I prefer the band to be worn around mid-hip like on the No Limit tank, but on the Pure Focus, it is too long to wear that way without all the extra bagging of fabric at the bottom.
Anon @8:45 - you hit the nail on the head...pure focus tank is a crazy bad armpit fat offender. I loved absolutely everything else about it and wanted it sooo badly to go with matching stance pants and pure balance jacket, but I alas I just could not get over the side spillage or whatever its more appropriately called. Tried sizing up but that made the tank look like a moo moo...it is definitely billowy enough in regular size. Too bad too because it was otherwise adorable with the new stance pants. Sad face!!!!
I tried on the focus tank with the intention of buying it today, but no matter how I tried to wear it, it just didn't look good! It was wayyyy too long for me. I guess my torso is too small for this tank. If I pulled it all the way down it came down a few inches past my butt (I'm 5"3 for reference). When I bloused it up it was WAY too baggy. It just didn't look good. Sad because it looks so cute on the educators! :( I picked up a power y in violaceous and snorkel and a swiftly ls in violaceous instead.
i thought i would like the wren/iris pure focus tank more but the violet one looked much prettier on. there is slight armpit fat but if you pull it up a bit, you wont notice it at all. also, the wren/iris one looked much baggier behind than the violet one. very cute tank overall. price point is 58.
Bought the pure focus tank and pure move crop in black and it looks so cute with solace jacket! Ruffles on crop match tank and jacket. Sized down in tank. I pull tank band up to hips and then smooth down and it lays flat. Very soft comfy and cute tank to wear for working out and streetwear!
