I want a speed skirt but they are never in stock...not in the stores or online...hummmpppphhhh
They have it now on the US side in all sizes in black
I've never understood the "running in a skirt" thing. Just seems silly to me. But to each their own!
anon@1:46- they are great for tennis!
i think it is kind of ridiculous that there is only a one inch difference.
Agree w/o previous post that inventory is always an issue. You tell so much about what to look for which I LOVE, but can never find these items. My store always says "thats old, we sold out" when you just post these items and they often never show on site.
Speaking of difference in length...Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Tall Grooves and the Regular Grooves? Is the difference just in length, or inseam too? I ordered a pair and I was sent a pair in Tall...I'm only 5'3"!
is a one inche difference even worth it? I would love it if it was a few inche difference. I would also love the speed short etc if they were a few inches longer.
Really? Just ONE inch? Well, I LOVE that extra 1 inch of coverage, and I'm not tall.
I just bought a Speed Skirt and even though I'm not tall (5'2") I can barely tell the difference. I would have preferred a regular, but tall is all that was in stock. The educator told me I could have it hemmed, but there's really no point.
Im a tennis player and 11" is not "regular". Most tennis skirts are 12"+. Recently Maria Sharapova for Nike introduced a 11" skirt (the shortest yet by Nike). The last time I checked she was 6"2'. Does Lulu think were all that tall and "regular"??? I bought the regular speed skirt before you posted the lengths (thanks BTW!) and I would have immediately gone for a tall knowing the lengths. Im 5"4'.
@ anon 5:33 pm - The skirts were uploaded last week and sold out in one day but as someone said the black has now been restocked.I'm surprised your store says things you see on here are old. I post the photos as soon as they hit FB and they are usually up to the moment. Is your store in a studio or gym? I understand they get things earlier than the regular stores. Has your store already gotten the Coal Strata Stripe CRB? That is the latest thing we are waiting for and have hit the US GEC so they must be coming to the stores this week.I agree, Lululemon's skirts are way too short. They could benefit from adding slightly longer skirts and shorts to their line. I would love a Reverse Groove/Knockout short with a 9 or 10" inseam. @ anon 6:39 - I'm pretty sure the rise (crotch to waist #) is a bit longer, too, in the talls.
To the poster who said they never understood why a running skirt? It is my favorite thing to run in. :) Not only does it make me feel more feminine, but it gives me coverage and less chafing in the thigh area. I typically run 20-30 miles a week and I would wear my running skirt every time if I could. Love, love, love them!
I love running skirts, good ones feel like you are wearing nothing! I wish lulu would come out with one that had a brief instead of shorts because I really prefer that! For kicks I measured my fave running skirt from runningskirts.com (imho has lulu beat on skirt construction, but fabrics are not as good) The one with the brief, which is the short length is 12" the one's with shorts are much longer than that.
Running skirts are amazing! I won't race in anything else!
Yep, I've been running in skirts for 2 years now - I love them as well. I prefer shorter skirts, so these work great for me. I agree I wish they had briefs as an option- I also wish theyld do more of a LuLu take on skirts - and not make them look so much like tennis skirts.
I bought the Tall Speed Skirt - total length from the waist in size 10 is 15 inches. It is still short, but at least covers that top bit of the inner thigh that (almost) every woman likes to hide.
I love running in skirts too. I looked for one a few years ago when they were starting to come into style and couldn't find any, and now love my recent purchases of lululemon running skirts (bought last year.) I find shorts ride up between my legs, and so a skirt is the perfect thing because it just hangs down and always keeps me covered. :)
