New Bra - Boobs on a Wire

Boobs on a Wire (aka, BOAW)

 Ta Ta Tamer (aka, TTT)

Lululemon has a new underwire bra out - the Boobs on a Wire. As someone who prefers an underwire bra it looks promising but I can't say I like the name. It'll be even more embarrassing asking for this than for a Ta Ta Tamer. "Hi, is the Boobs on a Wire in yet?"  The image the name inspires is rather painful, too. From this point on I will refer to it as the BOAW. I wonder whether the 38DD will be as elusive to find in the BOAW as it is in the TTT. I'm not really a 38DD but the Lululemon bra band seems to run a size small compared to my DKNY and Champion Powerback bras.

The BOAW certainly looks like it has a more natural shape than the TTT. My boobs have a such a weird shape in the TTT - like half coconuts on my chest - and they sit up so high it's like they reside under my chin. Anyway, I look forward to trying this on. I'm excited at the thought of a really supportive bra in colors that match my clothes. Shivers!

Sports Bras

The New York Times had a great article on sports bras the other day. I don't know if the article itself had any earth shattering information but the comments were very instructive. For instance, quite a few well-endowed women runners said they wear an encapsulation style bra and then layer a compression style over it to totally kill bounce. Have any of you tried that? I don't run so I don't bounce insanely and the Champion Powerback (the white bra above, an encapsulation style) gives me good enough support for doing intervals on the elliptical.  I also learned the best bounce test is jumping jacks. I usually jump up and down but will now start doing jumping jacks when testing tanks and bras. Finally, the most-mentioned bras that helped larger-breasted women were by Enell, of course. The second most were by Moving Comfort. For those of you who use Enell bra, does it work with any Lululemon tanks? I.e., not show underneath them? I haven't upgraded to an Enell but might consider it.

New Pant - Yoga Harem Pant (Ugh) and Pics of Other New Items

Lululemon has come out with another harem-style pant - the Yoga Harem pant. They probably put these into production before the market decided they didn't want them. I'm not a huge fan of the dropped crotch but I did like the previous harem-style pant - the Here I Am Crop which had pleated pockets but no dropped crotch and are very comfortable. I have three pairs of them. I think these newest pants are destined for the markdown rack.

A good photo showing the inside of the Awareness tank and that the interior tank is full length. I'm not sure what market this double-layered tank is made for - chilly yoga studios? I wouldn't mind if they sold something like the outer portion by itself that I could wear over my own sports bra.
