The ultimate blog for Lululemon Athletica fans. Photos, reviews, and news of the latest lulu.
get a load of swiftly long sleeve pics. what was that photographer doing? the gal has got some great arms but the pooch in front detracts from her good physique and the "appeal" of the shirt--or lack thereof. airbrush? retake? something? how unflattering! and you can tell the girl is jacked so I'm not slamming her whatsoever!
new pants model...it's nice to see more shapely models but the angle of the photos doesn't do much for selling the clothes. i'm liking the plum and lavender but purple and every shade thereof is getting a bit redundant. and the space dye teal--wow! i think i had a sweater like that when i was a kid...earth tones? jewel tones? new style tanks? holiday shopping is gearing up...
The Lilac Swiftly looks like it's too tight on the model - the arms and shoulders are skin tight - especially compared to the photo of the dark classic sport gray one. I didn't even notice the bit of a pooch belly. The pants model has very muscular thighs which make her legs look shorter. The angle of the photo also makes her look wider. She's got a nice shape but if I was in the business of selling clothes, I wouldn't use her.
if lululemon wanted to sell clothes more effectively, i think they should venture towards athleta's photographic qualities: athletic women in natural settings...yoga poses, running, hiking, etc. i get that LLL wants to be distinct, but they need to support the prices they demand of their consumers. if it doesn't photograph in an appealing way, the e-consumers will move on. not every LLL consumer has access to a store/showroom so their limited to ebay and LLL's mediocre website. just a thought...
I like the models and the settings they use on the Athleta website. The models are very muscular and they have them doing yoga poses in the clothes in a studio or outside.
I agree with anon@8:20!I noticed the new pants model too -- also for the flow y bra?lilac swiftly l/s does look much tighter than the other 2 colors (not the model's fault...size up though!)
I think part of the problem with the model is she might need to size up -- not being mean - just saying -- she has an awesome shape - but the pants are too tight on her --if you can see her underwear line in the front -- the pants are too tight
Yesterday I was in a lulu store buying the new winter quilt grooves and I decided to get a DANCE! headband by the checkout. I thought the heathered blue/citron combo was interesting, but I'm an avid soccer player and the colors wouldn't go with ANYTHING else I own, including the grooves! :) So I ended up getting the plain black, SOOOOOO cute! I'm very glad I didn't get the heathered blue one.
