The Power Y is Back - Did People Really Miss It?

Lululemon has brought the Power Y tank back. I really can't figure out why. I've tried to like it. I've owned a couple but ended up selling them on eBay. I just didn't like the thin straps; they always dug into my shoulders. I currently have two Ujayyi tanks and one Tri Y tank. I really like them. I find the support a lot better on those tanks than the Power Y. I think the built in bra is just a bit tighter. The thick straps are comfortable, too. I also really like the mesh panel with ipod pocket that runs down the back of the tank, particularly when I'm in spin class.

My personal observations aside, based on what I have seen on eBay the Spark (and the similar Repose and Sport) tank seems a lot more beloved than the Power Y. Unless the listing is poorly written, Spark tanks always engender a bidding war and sell for close to or over retail. Used ones sell very well, too. This rarely happens with the Power Y unless it is a discontinued print. Whatever. I just hope Lululemon brings back the Spark soon. Until then, I'll be shopping on eBay.

Note: Photo above shows Power Y, Tri Y, and Ujjayi.

Wrap Strap Tank - Try On Review

Lululemon has brought back the Wrap Tank in a new form - the Wrap Strap Tank. It's very similar except for the thin shoulder straps. This tank is very cute and offers medium support. It has cup pockets for the bra cookies. The top is rather modestly cut so you won't flash a lot of cleave as you bend over. It has a fitted cut so it will definitely hug your curves (be aware if you are between sizes).

I've always been drawn to the cool "X" color block designs on the Wrap tanks but they never work for me because they hit my boobs in the wrong place on the bottom. I studied the model on the Lululemon website and the bottom of the X runs high on her, too, but she is not that chesty so the design works for her. I, on the other hand, have had three kids, have DDs, and the ladies are starting to head south for the winter. Any top that isn't cut / color blocked to fool the eye and enhance my bust (and waist for that matter) doesn't make it into my closet. However, for those who don't have boobage issues and are looking for a cool, comfortable, fitted top to work out in, this top is for you.
